Cronic acidity

I have severe acidity issues. I am from Tamilnadu. What should be my diet ? I have been taking medicines for hypertension, thyroid, cholesterol and peripheral neuropathy. I underwent hernia surgery and so I am unable to have brisk walk. Please suggest me proper food habit. I am just 49. I am a non vegetarian

Hi, Acidity is symptom of indigestion, which is result of improper dietary habits. You should follow a balanced diet which contains good quality protein, complex carbohydrates, fresh fruits and vegetables. You should follow a proper meal timing and don't keep gap more than 4 hours between two meals.  Drink water 3 litre per day and avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid too much intake tea or coffee.
