Feeling weak and having dry skin are symptoms of hypothyroidism. Rather than consuming multivitamins, it is advisable to make dietary modifications. Medicines alone cannot prevent hypothyroidism. Include fruits and vegetables, milk and other dairy products, whole pulses and legumes, millets like ragi, jowar, bajra, nuts and seeds, in your diet. Avoid soy and soy products, whole wheat flour, and some vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.

Thyroid patients can take multivitamins, but it's important to do so under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Some thyroid medications can interact with certain vitamins and minerals, so it's best to consult dietitian before starting any new supplements.
