Accidental Gum Injury While Brushing

2024-11-01 05:11:25
While brushing, my toothbrush slipped and hit my gum, causing a small tiny amount of pus to form there. It's been two days, and I've tried to heal it with saltwater rinses, but it hasn't improved. Here i have attached the photo

See its clearly an ulcer, which means that your upper layer of skin has peeled off which happens naturally also.but here in your case it has been during brushing which means some sort of trauma to gingiva has occured. Avoid eating hot and spicy food for a week,it will heal eventually
Next Steps
as such no medication required
Health Tips
maintain proper oral hygiene and do not think about it anymore

As  rightly mentioned by my fellow dentist .. it is AN ULCER .
Next Steps
1) Apply Orasore / Metrogyl Dg gel / Ornigreat gel on it ... thrice a day ( after meal - do not rinse or take liquid for atleast  10 -15 mins, so that it can do it's work . 2) you can also use sensigel or mucopain if it pains while eating .. in that case apply the gel before meal ..this will numb the area 3) Avoid hot and spicy food for few days , so that it can heal .. 4) use soft / ultra soft toothbrush & be little gentle while brushing
Health Tips
Do not touch or try to scrape it . It will heal itself 2-3days
