Doctor, my father is 73 years old and a Diabetic and last stage Alzheimer and completely bedridden..Current situation is due to severe cough he is breathing from his mouth and today I can see the blackness in his mouth area although the mucus are yellowish in color. Not able to extract the mucus as he is not conscious and further I can see that today he passed a black foamy watery stool and this alert me more. Too many ongoing medication and for cough and fever we are giving additional paracetamol and Expectorant cough syrup.. My concern is now into his extreme cough which is accumulate in his mouth, chest and black foamy stool. Please advise what can be done or do we need to start giving him antibiotics for cough.. Thank you.
