Hi, I recently got diagnosed with adhd and it was a very long process, even after diagnosis, I find no relief as popular medication used to treat disorder is banned in India. Such as Adderall, while I've been in Inspiral 20mg sr I find its efficacy rather dull in nature. My friends abroad have told me Adderall does wonders for them and their adhd, so I can't get the meds that work rather well because I was born here, or use a substitute with seemingly no benefits, what are my options to ask my doctor for other medications and such, any help is appreciated.

Inspiral sr though not same as adderall belongs to the same class of it. Both these drugs have high abuse potential and hence are used with caution.
If the medication is not working for you -
1)reconsider your diagnosis
2)if ADHD is present there are other non stimulant medication options available with no abuse potential.you can discuss about your dissatisfaction with your treatment without consulting the doctor, so that he might help you with change or adjustment in medication doses.
3) you may need additional cognitive behavioral therapy for better results along with medication. I suppose your friends abroad have concurrent sessions of therapy as well along with medication.

Hi there. There is a reason why certain drugs are not available in India. Today a large population in the US is dependent on drugs which were given to the patient first as prescription medication.

Hi, ADHD comes with a lot of challenges itself and unfortunately some medication options are not available in India, however, you are at a starting dose of Inspiral and it can be tailored according to your response by your psychiatrist
