Acl reconstruction surger
Hello doctor, my ACL reconstruction surgery has been planned next month. I'm currently on medicines for psychic illnesses. My medicines are: LURAMAX 40, ARPIZOL and SIZOPIN... Should I stop these medicines before the surgery? If so how long should I stop these medicines before the surgery?.. What are the possible complications of the medicines during surgery?... Please help me. Thank you..

ACL reconstruction surgery per say is a safe surgery and has no relation to other illness. These medicines do not interfere with surgery but may require modification for one or two days in view of anaesthesia and antibiotics.  Please consult your psychiatrist for the necessary modification. Take care and Best our luck for the surgery

Please continue with your medications. Usually there aren't any complications of your medicines if you get spinal anesthesia during surgery. It is also advosable to inform your psychiatrist about the surgery.
