My 12-year-old younger brother has been experiencing heartburn for 2 days. He has been taking cough medication for more than 2 weeks now. Is taking cough medications might be the cause of heartburn?

If medication taken before meals and empty stomach without antacid then it will for sure cause heartburn, take medicine as prescribed
