Acidic foods when taken becomes alkaline. How can acidic foods become alkaline when consumed? How can we confirm this? What foods come under this? Does this concept apply for alcoholic liquor? I could not understand this concept. Can anyone explain?

Acidic food doesn't become alkaline.Acid can be neutralized by Alkali.your alcohol is acidic in nature and is milde Visha also, that's why it should not be taken .
AYURVEDA says every drug acts differently depending upon by what GUNA( property) is dominant!
Pippali is katu( bitter) in nature it should work for decreasing sperm count but
Acts madhur vipaka( after digestion converts to sweet)hence is vrishya( increases sperm count)
Hence a detailed study is needed about every food item to get to know what actually happens!
Thanks for inquiring.
Ayurveda has concept of "parinaman" by digestion causes effects i.e. "Parinam" and it's effects are expressed in Ayurvedic terms i.e. Paribhasha those are
Ras i.e Taste
Virya i.e. ushna or shit response to the drug or Dietary ingredient
Vipak After digestion properties...
Acidic and Basic properties are expressed in modern terms so kindly communicate with respective expert
Acid food usually will be Acid nature itself even after consuming. Only a few exceptions we can find. Like long pepper.
You need to understand the concepts of ayurveda for better understanding.
