May father got achillies tendon rupture last month. He has problem while walking and using stairs. What should we do.

Surgery for sure. (Reconstitution and substitution).

It becomes extremely difficult to walk over a TA deficient ankle. Increased chances of fall or foot and ankle pain.

Proper evaluation by an orthopaedic surgeon is required. If there is complete tear then it may require surgical intervention.

within 6 weeks of injury plaster treatment may allow healing without surgery. after 3 months it's surgery.
