What does it mean if an abscess turns black? Is it healing or getting worse? Trying to understand. Doctor suggested me to wait for 3 days.

Dear,  don't worry  If no pain,  decreasing pain,  change in colour  bright red to discoloration   it's healing unless it's not diabetic non healing wound Fallow your treating doctor

If no pain n no pus and then turning black then it’s healing process then after couple of weeks blackish discolouration will go
