In this pandemic should I take vitamin D?is it beneficial for immunity?has it side effects?without cause can I take?i never take vitamin D . Please suggest me what to do

Hi vit D is very important for our health and immunity.  Its definitely good idea to eat vit d rich diet. But before taking supplements you must check your serum vit d levels .
Next Steps
Once you know your levels than one can prescribe how much supplements you need. as excess vit D can cause some health issues.

Hi, Before you take vitamin d, it would be beneficial for you to get a check up done to see how much are your Vit.D levels. Your doctor can recommend the specific tablet, dosage and duration accordingly. It might cause toxicity if taken in excess. So it's better to get levels tested first and then take them accordingly.

Vitamin D is essential to improve bone strength and help to improve immunity. But if there is over load of vit D it might cause problems to liver . So check your vitamin D if it's low then consult me on Practo online consultation. Sources of Vit D are paneer Milk , Eggs , Chicken , meat.

I would recommend to get your Vitamin D levels tested before taking the supplements. Vitamin D is good for immunity, but the overdoses will have side effects too. So, would suggest to get tested and take supplements only if deficient.
