In practo i have post my hba1c is 5.8 and fasting is 83 and pp is 81. *****After knowing some doctor saying it is pre diabetes in practo app I have consulted a MD, DM to endocrinology (38 yr experience ) The lipid also Normal. The doctor said i an non diabetic patient. My rbc count is low 4.3.turn over low. Thats why hba1c falsely elevated. No clinical correlation found. He prescribed polybion L twice. Why the practo saying PREDIABETES?

If your RBc is low ..then HB low, then HBA1c is going to be falsely low... according to ADA guidelines HBA1C value 5.7-6.4 is pre-diabetes.... But HbA1c results generally varied lab to lab...
