A feeling of hopelessness
Hi doctor, I completed my MBA about a year back and worked for ten months in a different city. I quit my job due to personal issues at home and it's been two months. Currently I'm preparing for competitive exams since I'm not receiving calls for jobs. But I lack the interest and determination. I feel very lazy and I'm too scared as I feel I'm running out of time and I'll never have a job. In addition, two years back my father had a brain stroke and he's paralysed(though walking but there's no movement in hand) and I'm always sad as to why he had to face it. I'm also in a relationship from the past seven years and we have constant fighfs due to all my own personal issues as well as he being from arts field(the constant lookout for work etc) I stopped talking to my sibling due to friction amongst us and Idk. All my friends are out in the u.s and I don't really have anyone here. I don't know if it's depression or it needs a treatment. Kindly help.

Dear friend you seem to have  a schedule of recent events  which is pushing you into low mood and constant stress. You need a detailed psychological evaluation and  also might need CBT. You may visit my clinic in Hyderabad for the needful.

Hello, I understand how traumatizing it must be for you to go through all this all altogether. From what you have written, your personal problems seem to have interfered in your profession and your relationship. It can be very daunting to not have your friends around to talk to about all of this. But looks like you need to get a load off of your chest. Even if they're in the states, you can skype them and share some of your burden with them. It will at the least make you feel lighter. Besides that, you will need to seek professional help. Please don't shy away from it. Your problem may not be as big but by not seeking professional help it might become big.
Next Steps
You can check out for professional help by visiting a counsellor or Psychologist in your city(search them here) or you can chat with someone here on practo if you want online help.
