39 weeks pregnant, no labor

Hi, I am 39 weeks pregnant with second baby. PV os opened by 1 finger, no labor pain started. Having gestational diabetes but under control. Baby weight was 2900 grams in ultrasound last week. Doctor suggested to induce labor pain tomorrow. Is it fine?
