1 year baby hard stool issues
Hi, My baby is around 1 year old(14 month). She still don't do potty regularly. Sometime it's once in 2 days and sometime even once in 3 days. And whenever she does it, she put a lot of pressure as initial stool is very hard. She is on solid food as well as breast feeding. We give her baby food cerelec, roti, khichdi, fruits like banana, apple grapes, mangoes, milk and a lot of water etc. Could you please help if not pooping regularly is an issue for 1 year kid and what should I do for hard stool.

For few days avoid giving her formula milk or animal milk also avoid bread, biscuits, toast, readymade baby food, banana, grapes and pomegranate. Give her seitz bath daily for 5 minutes twice a day. If you haven’t given deworming medication, you can do deworming. This will solve your problem

Babies potty habits vary a lot. Once in 3 days is also fine!! Only issue is - very hard stools. 1. Avoid giving too much of milk, apple and pomegranate- all these make the stool harder. 2. Give lots of fibres- veggies and fruits 3. Donot give packed foods like cerelac 4. Encourage playing and more physical activity 5. Donot give fruits in the form of juices which adds on to the sugar too!! 6. Hydrate well
Next Steps
If further continues to have very hard stools- then consider detailed evaluation
