My 1 year old daughter is not sleeping
Could you please help me on what relevant actions should I take. She was used to waking up and sucking to go back to sleep again for an year now. She wakes 3-4 times during the night. Luckily she has started to sleep somewhat better last week (woke up only 1-2 times). Then she got fever after her first birthday celebration (this is the first ever time she is getting fever in a whole year). Now, she doesnt sleep.... she keeps sucking and i am exhausted through out the night... the most painful thing is she has got 5 teeth and is irritating my both breasts.... And am worried that she is not taking continuous sleep of 4-5 hrs and that might affect her health in the long run ....

This is a sleep association issue — your baby has learned that sucking equals sleep. The fever has temporarily made it worse, which is normal. Once fever fully resolves, sleep usually returns to her previous pattern. At 1 year babies can sleep through the night. The interrupted sleep is hard on you but won't harm her health long-term.
Next Steps
Once fever is gone, gradually reduce night feeds one at a time. Try patting or rocking instead of nursing when she wakes at night. A consistent bedtime routine (bath, feed, sleep) helps a lot. Consult me on Practo for more guidance on sleep training.

Hello, Since she has just recovered from an illness, it is quite common for babies to seek comfort by taking frequent or cluster feeds. This is usually temporary, so give her some time. Now that she is recovering and has started solids, try to establish a consistent bedtime routine. An early dinner, followed by a lukewarm bath and then putting her to sleep at the same time each night can help. Some days she may resist or try to break the routine, and that’s completely normal. Stay consistent, and gradually she will settle into the pattern.

Greetings It is incredibly common for a one-year-old to experience a temporary sleep regression following their first fever or illness. During or after being sick, children naturally seek comfort through frequent waking and intensive "comfort nursing". This sudden change in her routine, combined with the pain from her 5 new erupting teeth, is causing her to wake up and bite or irritate your breasts. Rest assured that this temporary phase of disrupted sleep will not cause long-term harm to her health, as her sleep patterns will naturally re-stabilize once she fully recovers. To protect your breasts and help her settle, you can gently offer a chilled teething toy or clean cloth before bedtime, or consult your pediatrician regarding child-safe pain relief.
