My dad was diagnosed with Coronary artery disease with 2 full blocks and a partial block. He was under ICU care for 5 days after the discovery and was advised medical intervention immediately. So, we were looking for a second opinion from an experienced Surgeon and came to know about Dr.Vijay Shankar S, who has performed surgery for couple of our cousins and read good reviews about him online as well.

In the initial consultation, he took time to review all the reports carefully, listened to us about Dad's well being and provided his honest opinion that he needs some medical intervention for long term health but we have time to plan what type of procedure and when. So, that gave us hope that my Dad's life is not hanging by a thread and if we have to perform any procedure, then we have the right Doctor to do so.

In the other Hospital, they scared us that we need to do the surgery quick, otherwise anything could happen. We made a bold decision to discharge my Dad from that Hospital and took him to Dr.Vijay Shankar S at Apollo, Greams road. After 5 days of ICU care, we brought him in a wheel chair to Dr. Vijay shankar, he surprised all of us and asked my Dad to walk by himself after 5 days of ICU and my Dad did. Yes, he walked with the strength he gave.

At that time, I determined if any one is going to give better cardiac care to my Dad, that's him. He is very passionate in what he does, cares for the patient and their family and approachable with the listening ear. I haven't seen any Doctor, who provides their personal number for any emergency or clarify any doubts regarding the pre or post care. We are very luck to have him.

I admire him for what he does and we need more dedicated Doctors like him to serve us, our family and friends.

At the outset, we are indeed satisified with the treatment provided to my father.

To say about our experience and his treatment, my father had a diabetic wound on his left ankle. We went to many hospitals and one of our relatives had recommended this doctor. We went to him and on the first day itself, he initiated the treatment by directly opening and cleaning the wound, without prolonging it for any reason even for procedural or medical testing or reporting.

We consider that was the first impression created on him. Beacuse, according to us, that was the great relief given by him, since my father had been suffered with huge pain with that wound. Secondly, we really admired him for his undisguised service. Each time, he himself only clean the wound and do the dressing to my father. He used to touch my father's foot and clean the wound without any nauseate feel. He mostly didn't take assistance from the nurses for cleaning the wounds. I think that clearly demonstrates his dedicated service and patience towards his patients.

Generally, there is a panic among the people on diabetic foot issue. Even I have heard from my relatives and friends that they were also struggled with this issue and they had been advised to remove their respective parts of the leg. However, I have observed that he is taking every foot issue as a challenging one and healing the same completely without any amputation. It is pertinent to mention that he is healing the foot wounds within the stipulated time with the right medicines. Hence, I strongly recommend him for any stage of diabetic foot issue.

Doctor Venkata Karthikeyan C has successfully performed my AV malformation (vascular tumor) on Parotid gland robotic surgery with facial nerve monitoring on 1st April, 2022 at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. ** ** *** *** **. Never seen such a humble, down to earth, polite and extremely hard working Doctor who is best in his work. Undoubtedly he is the best ENT surgeon. I was suffering from extreme head and neck pain since 2 months..the thing was diagnosed.. Visited numerous doctors in Kolkata.. Everyone said surgery is the only option but no one wants to do it.. Then we found Dr. Venkat, consulted him and visited him at Chennai, within one week my operation was done and within one week of operation I was able to come back to my normal life without any kind of restrictions. I underwent a 6 h long surgery and no one can even understand from outside that any surgery happened. My wife Vandana was affected with Covid in the month of April 2021. We are from Tirupati and the local hospital referred us to Apollo as the severity was high. She got admitted on April 21st into Apollo ICU. Dr Rama Narasimhan was the head doctor assigned to my wife. I interacted with her every day while my wife was on complete ventilator for 12 days and in ICU for 18 days. Dr Rama was just God sent to us. In my discussions with her, she was very practical and positive in her communication. Her professionalism in handling more than 35 critical Covid patients at that time was just exceptional. One specific example I want to share here is that at the time when my wife was admitted, I have mentioned to Dr. Rama that she is a professional singer. After she was intubated for 6 days, Rama madam took the decision to go for an early tracheostomy to protect her vocal cords. This decision was a life changing moment for us as my wife after 30 days of her recovery was able to sing again. Forever we both are indebted to you Madam. Thank you so very much Rama Madam.

I visited Dr Prem for my father's complication in his left foot. He was suffering since almost 7 months, had visited lot of doctors in India. Finally, we got to know about Dr Prem. He diagnosed his leg and cleared off all doubts regarding his disease.

My father was diagnosed with Charcot's Foot problem, a very rare diabetic foot condition.

Where in, some doctors had already suggested for amputation, Dr Prem clearly overruled the need for it. He simply suggested him to rest as much as possible and to only walk with the help of ITB Crow walker.

Apart from just visiting him, I would like to mention how the doctor is always available to help via call and whatsapp. I belong from kolkata and initially was in second thoughts about travelling to Chennai with my father since he was advised not to walk at all as it could be dangerous. So I was talking to the doctor on call. I had never visited him before, still he was ready to go through my father's reports in detail and advise him even on call and whatsapp. He was available even late at night when needed!

Later I even visited him in Chennai and was so satisfied with the kind of response. He is not one of those doctors who see their patients for the sake of their profession, he treats them with the sole aim of making them healthy with whole hearted compassion. He is unlike other doctors who are just professional.

Even though there is no permanent cure for my father's disease, he is feeling much better and taking precautions as suggested by Dr Prem. I can't thank him enough in words!

To elaborate, just a fainting episode made a duty doctor suspect epilepsy and we went for an EEG at Apollo Greams Road. The consultant doctor (30+ yrs experience) who wrote the EEG report couldn't diagnose the report properly and wrote it as abnormal EEG. Next based on that report we went to another very experienced doctor (28+ years experience) at Apollo who had no clue what was going on and just went by the report and prescribed epilepsy medicines. Still, we had a lingering suspicion that it was not epilepsy since the symptoms were different. So we went for a second opinion to Dr.Muthukani. He listened patiently to our issue, went to the lab himself to look at the original EEG reports and told us that IT WAS NOT EPILEPSY and that it was a simple case of fainting due to electrolyte imbalance and prescribed some basic medicines. Just imagine what a difference it would have made if we did not visit this excellent doctor for a second opinion. Unnecessarily we would have been under the impression that it was epilepsy and started on those powerful epilepsy drugs which are harmful to normal people. God bless this good doctor with the best of health so that he can be of help to many people like us suffering from wrong diagnosis and negligent medical care.

My father had foot ulcer due to diabetes. Initially we had check up at one famous hospital in anna nagar and there it was suggested to do surgery and said like it can be cured only by surgery. After long time of search over internet I came to know about doctor .Prem Kumar podiatrist in Apollo...we took our father to him for treatment..he is very humble and convinced us with his positive words that 100 percent surgery is not required and he will give treatment..as per his words we gone for regular treatment and my father's Leg is perfectly alright now.
