Mr. Gautham Krishnan have been a licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2018 and have spent a couple of years teaching students along with practice. I underwent training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is an extension from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), from Dr. Steven Hayes. I have found myself inclining to the philosophy of Psychological Flexibility, which is a method of making room for unpleasant emotions rather than getting rid of them. I believe that every individual has the capacity to overcome their hurdles to meet their goals and everyone is trying their best. Yet, some times we end up fighting, running and hiding from our painful experiences that just delays and prolongs this drive. In psychotherapy, I try to provide individuals with experiences to get in touch with these unpleasant emotions and process them. I have worked extensively with individuals who have had traumatic experiences, mood dysregulations, personality disorders and sexual dysfunctions.
I used to be Gautham Krishnan's patient, and I have to say, he is one of the most compassionate psychologist's I have met till date! Has gone out of his way to help me navigate throughout my emotional journey. I still call him up sometimes for advise :)
