Dr. Rajeev is the kindest doctor on the planet I have ever met in my life. I have already recommended him to so many people in my network. I do not really give 5 stars to anyone unless they deserve. But this guy and his clinic deserves 6 stars. I heard somewhere that doctors are the incarnation of God and now a days nobody will agree upon it. But you know what, I blindly trusted him to anything that he said during my 1 month treatment with him because of the confidence and support he has provided and I must say he is an incarnation of God because of the good deeds that he has been doing in this real world. Now coming to my treatment, I had in total of 4 stones - 2 of them were stuck in the right ureter about 10 mm each, one in the right kidney of 5 mm and one in the left kidney approx 10 mm. I initially consulted him on 19th Jul when I got to know about the stones post severe pain and he advised me then to undergo URS followed by ESWL at his clinic. Then, a lot of my known friends and relatives asked me to undergo homeopathy, Ayurveda as they were effective plus I did not have a life threatening situation to undergo surgery. I took a call of avoiding the surgery and underwent the treatment with first homeopathy and the Ayurveda. After a month of no relief, there was almost no improvement (along with repeated tests of ultrasound and X-ray), I finally met Dr. Rajeev again and he still had a smile on his face and communicated the same procedure (URS for calculi in the ureter) and then ESWL in the left kidney stone after couple of weeks. He gave me confidence that it is completely a safe procedure with minimal discomfort. And in the next two days, I underwent URS at Narayana Multispeciality hospital with Rajeev being the surgeon. Let me tell you, the procedure went really smooth and in a day, I was all good. Then it was turn of ESWL procedure at his clinic. He told me to break both the stones in the two kidneys at the cost of one (Rs. 25,000). Have you heard of doing that from a doctor? I mean what else could you expect from a doctor? He could have charged me 50K but he did not. ESWL procedure went extremely well in just one sitting and he was able to break 10 mm stone into fragments. I was able to pass them in urine in the next two weeks while doing skipping, jogging and fortunately after ultrasound, there was no kidney stone found in the right kidney as well! Which means ESWL sitting was not required anymore. Finally, after one month of URS surgery, it was time to get the two DJ stents removed. I was little scared about this as I have heard reviews from people globally that it is a moderately painful procedure and next 2-3 days are horrendous. But again, this man gave me immense confidence that I would not even feel anything during the procedure and post. Again, as he said, I was given strong sedation, and when I woke up after the stent removal procedure, I had just slight discomfort (not pain) for a few mins and then all good! I was discharged the same day from the hospital and today is the next day and I Already feel that nothing ever happened to me! I would like to share one more incident with him - Both of us share similar hobby, me being a travel photographer and he is a wildlife photographer. We chatted and shared our moments of joy during the 50 mins of ESWL session and it felt like I was just treated for 10 mins and doctor had already done the fabulous job of breaking the stones during ultra shock therapy! He has asked me to join him in his next wildlife sanctuary visit and I am looking forward to it. He has world class device at his clinic and this guy will be the finest and kindest of the doctors that you will ever meet in your life, so if you have kidney stones related issues, stop doing anything else and just go, meet him and get relief from this pain.I do not give detailed feedback but the world needs to know (not just Bangalore) A big thanks to the doctor and wish you all the best and success.

About Lithotripsy : As it is with all clinical matter today, you got to be very careful when you choose some treatment. I had a very bad experience with one of the lithotripsy centre in Bangalore (Hitech Kidney Stone Centre), the process was done without presence of any urologist and with an out dated bad Lithotripter. My stone was of 9mm and after two sitting of the lithotripsy there was no change in size, but that pushed the stone in a very uncomfortable position. But the person who was doing the procedure kept on telling its broken (basically he was lying).
And then I went to Matoshree for another Lithotripsy and felt the difference. This time Dr Rajeev Bashetty, who is a renowned urologist, himself did the procedure and with great care and the machine they are using is world-class. The process was much easier, very less pain than the previous one. And as a result the Stone was broken into a 4 mm stone in the only sitting he had done. To Compare more, the first clinic I visited, he just started the machine and was on his own playing with mobiles and doing other stuffs around, but here Dr Rajeev kept his eye on the monitor throughout the process and adjusting the lithotripter when and it was needed. The only time he had to go out of the treatment room he stopped the machine and came back in a minute. I found them extremely professional and caring.
Last but not the least, Matoshree still don’t have the collaboration with insurance, but most of the insurance companies has post procedure coverage facility and you can always do that as Matoshree provides all the required document after your procedure.

I visited this dr. Rajeev based on recommendation from nearby hospital. Went to meet for urinary infection with Ultra scan abdomen report. There was some liver expansion observed in the report. When I was asking for same, didn't give clear explanation saying he is not expert in that, asked to chk liver specialist.since I'm new to this locality, asking doc nearby then referred a doc but when rude in when asking for more on the referred doc details like where the clinic and timings. As a doctor and paying 1000 feel he should help us to understand in detail on the treatment and any problem statement to help PPL to understand in lenient terms

It has been great experience at Matoshree Kidney Stone Stone center for me. I had large stone in right kidney (~15mm) along with other small ones. It was creating problems once in while for me and I decided to get it removed. My wife searched and found this place. We took appointment mainly because it had good reviews and was near to my house.
Staff is very helpful & courteous and they will do regular follow-up with you. Facility is good and place is very well maintained. All documents including insurance claim related very readily provided.
In my first appointment, Dr Rajeev Bashetty asked in detail about problem and suggested possible solutions. Had ultrasound report handy. ESWL being the first preference, if not successful then other surgical procedures like ureteroscopy etc. Doctor was very forthright is telling success rates of ESWL. Was transparent about cost also. Before procedure Dr asked all reports like CT, Ultrasound, other tests etc to access everything properly.
Usually, it may take 2-3 sittings but my stone was little hard so I needed 3 sittings of ESWL to get stones in Kidney broken and one extra sitting since stones were stuck in the pipe between kidney and bladder. After few days of final sitting, I passed all stones. Overall, it took around more than month for treatment.
This procedure needs patience as there may be multiple sittings and gaps between each sitting, so be mentally prepared. But don’t worry, Dr will take care & is very helpful.
Overall, very happy with the professionalism of the Doctor. Instils confidence in patients. Would definitely recommend anyone having stone problems to visit Dr Rajeev.

I'm really happy with the treatment provided by Dr Rajeev Bashetty. Dr Rajeev has attended to me with utmost patience and had answers to all my relevant and irrelevant queries:). I was totally fearless to undergo the treatment under Dr Rajeev and though came to the clinic unprepared, willingly undertook the lithotripsy treatment immediately after my brief discussion with the doctor. I surely can tell it is much convincing to go this doctor as i had visited a bigger hospital like Manipal wherein i was suggested for a surgery. But Dr Rajeev built in so much of confidence in the first visit itself and assured that the 12mm stone which i had could be easily removed by his treatment and i can surely say his words miraculously worked for me and the stone was removed in less than a week. Least to mention that though the first 3 days after the treatment was a painful experience but the doctor was always available to attend to me and provide suitable suggestions and advice which built in so much of confidence in the process. I surely recommend Dr Rajeev for every kidney stone patient. He also suggested me a normal life & food routine with no excess diet control after the removal which i dont think we will be recommended in any other place.
A small suggestion to Dr Rajeev that if in case we will be provided some pain killer injections or some such treatment after the surgery which could ease the pain for the first night would be appreciable though i'm not sure why he does not recommend.

Mrs Prabha

Patiently listened to our issue and Explained in a way that we can understand. Not like few doctors who made us panic with extreme possibilities
Visited For Acute Kidney Disease ( AKI ) Treatment
I consulted Dr.Rajeev Bashetty, Consultant Urologist in NH, regarding my mother-in-law’s Kidney stone problem. She was suffering from a 3 cm staghorn calculus for the past 6 years.
He inspected all medical reports very patiently and explained various treatment options with their pros and cons.
Based on his assessment, he suggested PCNL over ESWL.
My mother-in-law had multiple health related issues like
Heart, Diabetic, cholesterol, obesity.etc. We wanted to avoid surgery if possible and I took a second opinion from all the well known Urologists from reputed hospitals in BANGALORE. But every where I was recommended PCNL.
Eventhough I approached many urologists, I was convinced the way Dr. Rajeev received and listened to us and explained medical condition and treatment. Moreover, making me understand and involved me in decision making of the treatment.
Finally we decided for surgery and admitted to NH for PCNL treatment. But due to thyroid issues and fluctuating sugar levels, it was decided to postpone PCNL procedure for couple of weeks to bring thyroid and some critical medical parameters under control.
Then I discussed with Dr. Rajeev and requested for the possibility of ESWL. He analysed the case once again and due to the soft nature of the calculi he recommended to give it a try for ESWL.
In the due course we built tremendous confidence about Dr. Rajeev's ability in treating the problem with care and make the patient feel at ease.
We decided to go ahead with ESWL treatment and a total of 3 sittings were given. During the treatment, my mother in law passed the blasted small stones in the urine without any problems. A CT scan was repeated after 3rd sitting and to our surprise no stone was found in the right kidney.
My mother-in-law was completely happy knowing this result.
To be honest Dr. Rajeev is very pleasant in listening to Patients, very efficient in deciding the treatment after assessing patient
medical condition and confident in executing the Procedures. My mother in law is so comfortable, even though she was not able to understand English or Kannada.
I appreciate his dedication, involvement in treating the problem. The good part of it is he himself performed the Eswl procedure, he ensured that each wave was targeted to the stone and not to the kidney which helped to clear such a big stone in just 3 sittings.
My mother-in-law is so happy now and she is actively moving around in native place, she has became 6 years younger after treatment. she treats him as GOD.
I proudly recommend Dr. Rajeev for my relatives, well wishers and friends for any kidney stone issues for safe and guaranteed results.
with warm regards
DPRao and family.
