Dear Sir / Madam,
I came to the hospital for a propper lung check up.
As I have been with this doctor in the past, I came back
for a propper consultation, as I suffer from a lung problem
since one month. Anyway the doctor just made the same routine checks as before,
without asking me what my problem was. Also didn't she propperly looked at my
x-ray and explained me what is there to see.... Therefore I feel a bit dissapointed, as
you might know. She didn't asked me any specific question about what my problem
was and also didn't advised me to not take ceratin food or drinks.... she just prescribed
me the same medication as back in 2009. Now I still don't know, what I m suffering from
is it a troath infection, or a lung infection, or an allergy ?
In overall rating I find her way of approach o.k. but as I mention before, I m not 100 % satisfied
with the outcome of this consultation
best regards
Roger
I have booked my appointment through practo but I got a call from the hospital about scheduling the appointment before the slot. When I reached there, a lot of patients were already waiting in the queue and it took nearly one and a half hours for my session. The rest of all was fine. The doctor approached me nicely and discussed the problems well. I am happy with the treatment.

I visited for my father's treatment. He is suffering from incessant cough due to complications resulting from PSP. Even before we saw Dr Padma, we were told to get 2 x-rays done which took us ~2 hours. After that and some wait, Dr Padma saw my father for less than 2 minutes. She was standing and we were not asked to sit either (though my father is wheelchair bound so he was sitting), she seemed in a great hurry to complete the conversation and advised us to see a swallowing specialist, saying that my father will need to be on feeding tube. I asked what about cough he gets even when he is not eating, or just lying down... she did not answer that and said that feeding tube will at least reduce the risk while eating. This wasn't helpful at all as we knew he has swallowing issues due to PSP, we have consulted the best doctors in Delhi and Bangalore for PSP and told her that. We had gone to a pulmonologist to understand if there was a treatment or relief possible for the symptom of incessant cough. The least I would expect is that she should have given us clarity on if there is any treatment possible or not. She was insistent that we see the swallowing specialist first and then she will advise further treatment.
We didn't do that and just came home after spending a day, good amount of money and the inconvenience it cause my father. My observation of her is as a lady who lacks basic apathy *** ***** *** ** *** ***** *** ** ****** *** ******* **** ********** *** ********* I won't make the mistake of visiting Manipal again for this. To be fair here, I do have some very positive past experiences with other doctors at Manipal, but this came as a big shock to me.

Honestly speaking , the whole experience after visiting first time Manipal Hospital bound me to write here some issues that we faced. Few of my friend and relatives from Assam advised me to visit Manipal instead of going to Mumbai ,Delhi or Chennai. So we went to Manipal. Main issue was with Dr.P. Sundaram whom we met after waiting a lot. During the time of consultation she rudely asked us why we came after the situation of the patient deteriorated. We told her that how we came to know as the patient is taking medicines regularly and undergoing treatment. Generally whenever we visited any Doctors they checked the patient properly particularly infected place of the body. But our lady Doctor don't even bother to touch or see the infected place of the body though the patient was Covid Negative. She advised to go for BIOPSY. Biopsy done but doctor madam don't bother to see infected place even then too and just advised to go with All medicines taken earlier or prior to met her. After coming home as Biopsy area became to ripen n swalloen ,we met a local Doctor *** ***** ****** **** ****** ********* **** ** ******* ******* **** ***** ****** *** ***** **** ***** ********** *** *** ******** ** **** ********** ***** ********** *** ************** ***** *** ***** ** * *** will never advise any one to .....

We visited Dr. Padma based on a reference from another doctor for a pleural effusion case. Firstly, we were asked to take serology tests twice in two days ***** *** ************** ***** **** **** **** ***** ***** *** ******** ******** She suggested to extract the tissue for the lymph node biopsy first from the neck as she herself did not want to touch the site of infection. Then when the reports came as normal, she scared us by saying that doing the biopsy from the affected site would give better results!!!!! When all the reports came as normal, she alongwith Dr.Anil (junior surgeon) tried to force us to undergo a pleuroscopy ***** *** *** *********** ** ******* ****** **** ******* ** *** ***** ******* *** ** ***** ********* ****** **** ******* We were admitted at the hospital for four days out of which two days were wasted doing nothing!!!!! When asked why was she keeping us and not discharging us since eerything was normal, she said she was very busy with her OPD patients and did not have the time!!!!!!! Finally on creating a scene she agreed to discharge us but without even removing the pigtail,we went to another doctor and had it removed!!!! A young and active person barely 30 years of age was put through such a hard time thanks to Manipal and Dr Padma!! will never ever recommend her for anything ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Visited For Asthma

My experience with the Doctor was not satisfactory.
I went to see the doctor for my father chronic asthma problem.
She told very rudely about the problem in front of patient itself, which I feel she can tell in other way also.
She told why we came to see her in last stage or after the issue become lil critical.(If a senior doctor is saying this and that to in brand hospital which is highly discourteous or else she assume we should go to see her for trivial issue only)
I am happy with the doctor for she provided a proficient advice for the medical tests and I am highly satisfied with the given treatment also. The waiting period was a bit critical though. General they mention 30 minutes as waiting time but it takes around one hour if crowded.
I am happy with the doctor for his detailed explanation about the diagnosis. The treatment has carried out an extreme level of progression in my health. It was my first consultation and it took me 30 minutes to complete with the formalities and meet the doctor.
I am very happy with the doctor for she gave me the right medications after a precise analysis of the underlying cause. Only some important lab tests were preferred for diagnosis. After an hour of wait time, I got my consultation. It was a completely satisfying experience in total.
