Visited for mother's open heart surgery

Few months back my mother was diagnosed with severely calcified heart valve and doctors advised for valve replacement surgery. Dr. Arul and team did open heart surgery and surgery was successful now she is able to do the daily activities without any discomfort. We are very much satisfied with the explanation and treatment given by the doctor during and after surgery. He is very friendly and listen to the patients. I can definitely recommend the doctor to my family and friends.

I was suffering from shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite & later was diagnosed to be suffering from Aortic Stenosis.

I happened to meet Dr. Arul Furtado at the Apollo Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru based on the recommendation of my close relative's neighbor. It was certainly a “Blessing in Disguise” that I met the Right Expert of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at the Right Time.

After having a look at my echo reports, Dr. Arul concluded that I have to undergo Aortic Valve replacement surgery as he observed my aortic valve had severe calcifications & my heart efficiency had reduced to nearly 30%.

Dr. Arul, Dr. Harsha Gautam & team performed my Aortic valve replacement surgery in October 2019. It is 3 years since & I continue to be fit & fine.

I meet Dr. Arul half yearly or yearly for my usual review & continue to have the medication prescribed by him. Believe me, now my heart efficiency based on Echo report is nearing 65%.

Three months ago I visited apollo hospital bangalore for my father's treatment, my father had a heart issue since few months . There I met dr. Arul , after all the test he planned to do a bypass surgery . Now it's been 4months after the surgery my father feels great & doing all his daily activities without any previous issues . Dr .
