Shakti foundation was born in 2010. It was conceived a few years before that when it was realized that there were almost no integrated setups providing services- occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education etc. to children with special needs. Parents had to run from one center to another to avail of these services, leaving the young children exhausted and not receptive to the treatment. A group of dedicated professionals providing all these services under a single roof was a boon to the children while providing a platform to the therapists.
