Dr. Monika Sharma's Clinic, Vasant Kunj

It was my first time visiting a psychologist *** ******* ******** ** ************* *** **** *** ******* **** ****** ** ****** ** ** ***** ************ ******** ****** **** ***** * *************

First of all, she did not give me enough time, I must have got around 15-20 minutes of her time when I was supposed to get 30 minutes ******* ***** * ***** *** **** ******* ************* ***** *** * *** ** ***** **** **** ** ***** *** *** **** when it's your first time meeting them so they can understand you better) and in those 15-20 mins she was on call twice.

Then after telling her what I was going through, all the advice/counsel/words I got from her were just three sentences,

1. Write a journal

2. Do whatever you want to

3. Not to confide in friends since they come to/look for you when they want to have fun or relax since they are also caught up or busy with their own schedules or problems so they might find you negative or spreading negativity since you'd be sharing your problems with them.

I was not at all satisfied by her counsel so I called up my friend(my intuition could not accept her third advice so I called my friend anyway) who suggested me talking to a psychologist since one helped her when she was going through similar problems like mine and told her the counsel I received from Dr. Monica. *** ********** ** ****** ** *** ***** ****** **** *** ****** *** ********** ******

I was not at all satisfied with the counsel I received from Dr. Monica and would never recommend her to anyone. Also, I did not feel any warmth or empathy from her. **** * *** ** ******** ************ *** ***** *** ********** ******** **** *** ******* ******** **** ***** **** ******* *** ******* ** ** *** **** **** ** **** ** ** ***** ****** ******** **** ** * ***** ******* *** ********** * **** ******* *** *****

Furthermore, Dr. Monica suggested I talk to her once every week (Monday to be specific) and to have at least 5-6 sessions with her and she gave me her personal number and asked me not to book my next appointment with her through Practo and to contact her directly through whatsapp.

Not happy with the her counsel and would never recommend her to my friends or anyone.

As a part of my counselling psychology internship, we were given the valuable opportunity to observe her sessions. I had the chance to visit Dr Monika Sharma’s clinic and the experience was truly enriching.

During my visit, I observed three different cases and was deeply impressed by Dr Monika’s compassionate, insightful and realistic approach to therapy. What stood out the most was how she helped clients understand their issues by connecting them to real-life experiences and stories, gently guiding them towards self-awareness and growth. Her way of explaining the ‘why’ behind emotions and behaviours and helping clients discover the ‘how’ to cope was incredibly impactful.

Even during our online classes, I found her teaching style very engaging and grounded in practical knowledge. But seeing her work live increased more and more of respect and admiration. She brings immense warmth and clarity to her sessions and her ability to weave personal experiences into clinical insight makes learning from her truly special.

I feel lucky to have been mentored by someone so dedicated and empathetic and I believe anyone who gets the opportunity to even interact with her will feel the same.

Mental health is a very ignored topic and is often brushed off, either by us or by the people in our surroundings. Sometimes, we ourselves don't know what exactly we are going through. The mixed up emotions, an uncanny clarity about them and the fear of being judged, is what makes us hide.

This is exactly where a psychological counsellor comes into the role. To enlighten the clarity of our thoughts and emotions, to simplify them in our head and to empathize with us regardless of how we are feeling.

Ms. Monika perfectly fits in all the above. I have been seeking counselling with her for over a month now. It took me a while to open up to her but once I did, I could feel the heaviness lessen gradually. Not to forget mentioning that it all came with the sheer consistency and confidence that I put in her.

The damage, that we or the people surrounding us, have done to ourselves, took time to scar us. Similarly, the process of healing the long done damage will take time. It's humane to reach out to conclusions and seek for instant and immediate results but patience is what will make us come out of it.

Whatever she advised, I took those tasks seriously and saw a visible difference. They seemed unimportant initially but she knew what she was doing and it helped!

Today, I feel myself as a lot better than what I was a month back and it's all because of mam's guidance.

Remember, small steps make a big difference. Believe in her and be consistent. She is the best support that I have got through my difficult times. Hope the same for everyone out there.

I am writing this review after having good number of sessions with Monica Ma'am. She makes sure all the things that i say are addressed and helps me understand the problems i face. She is really an amazing person, i always felt at comfort and ease from the starting till the end of the session. There's always this feeling of relief after the sessions like something heavy is off my back. I believe a therapist's role is to guide the person to be or walk on a path to achieve or reach that state when things don't affect us to the level, it did before. I firmly believe that Monica Ma'am is that person who can help you reach to that level.

Monika is an incredible psychologist, *** ** *** ***** Her CBT approach is amazing and absolutely live changing. She patiently listens to understand and deep dive in to complex situations, use CBT approach to help me look at situations with different perspective and provides solutions. Beyond that, she is compassionate, passionate and honest in her efforts. After trying multiple therapists, I can very confidently say, I highly recommend her. Monika, I'm extremly greateful to you for all your help, support and efforts 🙏

Dr. Monika Sharma listened to me patiently and tried to make me understand my situation and how it’s normal for me to feel the things I was feeling. I’ve been to many therapists before but no one was as non-judgemental or as friendly as Dr. Monika was. After talking to her, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my chest and it gave me much more clarity to see where my head was at regarding personal issues. Dr Monika is incredible. I was nervous in the beginning about therapy but she answered all my queries and guided me about the process of therapy in the first session only. The advice she gives just sticks and manages to ease my burden everytime. With the stigma surrounded with therapy and mental health, she is a breath of fresh air. I know Doctor Monika Sharma since 2017. I have taken many sessions with her. Whenever I stuck in any difficult life situation I visit her. Her guidance helps me every time. She told me healing is ongoing process and I felt it with her. I recovered in many ways. I find myself more confident. I am able to manage my stress in better ways. Her sessions are so insightful. So When I thought of doing therapy, I wasn’t sure. But I think If I am happy today, the credit goes to Monica Ma’am. I had anxiety issues. I was depressed.

I think she is best person to come and talk to. She helped me so much, There are absolutely no words. She is the most generous person, You will love her vibe and the with what ease she’ll make you understand about things.

Recovering from anxiety is difficult but she made it very easy for me. Even at the times, When I was crying in front of her about things, I really don’t know how, she made in laugh. Monica Ma’am is a amazing person, she is really kind and She is the best person to come if you issues like me.
