Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC) is a 150-bed cancer hospital in Tharamani, Chennai, and is South Asia and the Middle East's first proton therapy centre. It was India's first JCI-accredited cancer hospital, and also holds NABH and ISO accreditation.The centre covers around 76 specialities across surgical, radiation and medical oncology. Its listed specialities include gynaecologic oncology, head and neck oncology, urologic oncology, laparoscopic and videolaparoscopic surgery, obstetric and gynaecological laparoscopy, and IV sedation, alongside super-speciality care.Treatment planning is handled by a multidisciplinary Cancer Management Team, which sets a personalised plan for each patient. The centre is part of the Apollo Hospitals group.Amenities on site include a blood bank, an emergency service, a 24x7 pharmacy, a cafeteria, a bank/ATM and parking.
