Visited Dr. Damodaran P R (Joint Replacement Surgeon) For Fracture Treatment

Dr. Damodaran P R – The best of the best Ortho Doctor
Four years back, my mom met with a road accident and fractured her right arm. She was rushed to Apollo Perungudi in an ambulance to the ER. After the first aid, she was diagnosed with humerus bone fracture. That was the first time, we met Dr. Damodaran. He not only assessed my mom’s condition but also our family’s anxiety and fear because of the traumatic road accident. The first thing he did was to calm all of us down by patiently explaining what has happened and what corrective measures he is going to take. He spoke very patiently to my sobbing mom, relaxed her and gave all the assurance she needed. He explained the procedure to me in detail. I still think he absolutely had no need to take the time to talk to the distraught family, but he did that. Just by talking to him, we, including my mom were at peace and gained strength to face the surgery.
The surgery was successfully completed. Mom went to recovery room, where her vitals were monitored. Doctor reached out to us to explain how the plate was fixed and the process of recovery. I could not imagine how a busy surgeon like him finds time in the world to talk, not only to the patient but also to their family members, just to put their mind to ease. Even before the surgery, I was confident that he is going to cure my mom and I have come to the right place. We had total faith in him.
Dr. Damodaran’s loving care did not stop with the surgery. During every OP visit, post-surgery, he attended to my mom with the same care. He reassured her, encouraged her to do physio and motivated her back to normal health with full functioning of her arm.
Last week, while cleaning the house, my mom had a bad fall in the living room. She was in severe pain. After I got the call about the incident, my first thought was, maybe she hit her arm again and the plate she had has moved. Oh boy, was I wrong! She could not move her right arm. I remembered from the last incident that fracture causes swelling. But this time, it did not swell or I misses to see it with the cloths on. We went to a local hospital, they did the Xray and diagnosed it is a fracture again, near the shoulder. It was devastating to see my mom, 61 years now, suffering from unbearable pain. I panicked. I called Dr.Damodaran’s number directly. This was on a Saturday, around 8 PM. Doctor immediately picked up. I tried to remind him that he treated my mom with a surgery 4 years back and she has another fracture now. Doctor asked me to bring her to the hospital immediately and share the Xray over phone.
When there were some complexities in getting the ambulance, I called the Doctor again. He immediately spoke to the ER and we got the ambulance in 15 minutes. After we reached the ER, my mom was examined fully to ensure that she is all good from the fall except for the fractured arm. Doctor called me again, explained what has happened this time. My mom also complained of chest pain, which she started realizing only after the settling down of arm pain with the painkillers. We guessed, with the terrible pain of the fracture, she couldn’t pay attention to the chest. Thankfully, it didn’t turn out to be anything serious.
After consulting with cardiologist and his clearance, Dr. Damodaran performed the surgery. This time, I absolutely had no questions on the surgery or no doubts. I had nothing to worry. I knew that he is the best of the best and he is going to make my mom alright again.
On the day of the surgery, Doctor had a pretty busy day. He had back-to-back procedures with different patients. My mom’s surgery went for a long time, or I felt like that. I figured it was a complex operation as Doctor decided to not remove the old plate and add the new one without causing a friction.
Just like last time, Doctor met us after the surgery. He showed us pictures of the new plating, and explained the deformity correction and rotator cuff repair. We will be meeting him in the coming weeks for regular check-ups.
I really feel fortunate that I was able to reach Dr. Damodaran that night and he was available to perform the surgery. He is an angel in disguise. I wish from the bottom of my heart that he lives a very long life, to help people recover from pain. ** ** *** **** ** *** ***** Thank you, Doctor!
Visited Dr. Karthiga Devi (Obstetrician) For Hysteroscopic Myomectomy

My wife had prolonged periods for almost 15 days last month & while searching for a gynaecologist in OMR , we found Dr.Karthiga devi through Practo & took my wife to apollo hospitals after fixing appointment.
She patiently listened to all the symptoms and after looking at the USG scan and other blood reports , she explained in detail about the various options for treating the 6cms & 2cms fibroids & she also did a pap smear test in no time to rule out if there are any other complications. She put in front of us all the possible options and never pushed us for any unwanted tests or even for the laparoscopy surgery she asked us to wait for 3 months but due to personal reasons we decided to get the surgery done immediately.
She is such a positive person and the moment we entered the room , she made my wife very comfortable and she was so patience in hearing to what the patient had to say and answer all our query patiently neither skipping nor rushing. She is very attentive , kind , caring , helpful and her words will give you a lot of confidence which is what is most needed from any doctor.
Like very few doctors , she had shared her mobile number to get in touch for any doubts or any emergency through whatsapp and i must say not even once my message went unanswered and helped us whenever needed.
Being a doctor specifically a gynaecologist is really not easy is what i understood in the last 1 month as they need to be available 24/7 and the respect towards the doctors community has immensely increased because of her & i wish her & keep her in my prayers to continue to do the great job.
Apollo hospitals perungudi - Decent Hospital with great rooms & completely equipped with all latest facility.Doctors available 24/7 incase of any emergency. You have almost all the speciality doctor visiting the apollo perungudi clinic and i strongly recommend to visit them on a week day as weekends are completely full.

Visited Dr. Sivaraman B (Orthopedic surgeon)
Happy with: Explanation of the health issue
I have been a type 1 diabetic for 25+ years and had been suffering from a frozen shoulder for around three years. Since it showed no signs of getting better on its own, I sought help. I did wax therapy, IFT and other exercises but there was no improvement. The only other option that was available to me in my small town was the capsular release surgery. However I wanted to avoid a surgery given that healing would be take much longer for me as a diabetic. Therefore, I approached Dr. Sivaraman at his clinic where he suggested that I opt for hydrodilation, capsular release and manipulation under anaesthesia.
I agreed with this suggestion and underwent these procedures at Apollo Speciality Hospital, OMR on 4/11/22 with Dr. Sivaraman and his team performing them. The procedures went well and Dr. Sivaraman and his team as well as the hospital staff took good care of me and accomodated all my requests.
I experienced slight discomfort and pain in the days following the procedures and within a week I was able to lift my arm which was a feat that was impossible for me since 2021. At present I no longer have shoulder pain and my previously frozen shoulder is as mobile as the other one.
As someone in an age group (I was 30 years old at the time these procedures were carried out) that usually does not experience a frozen shoulder, I did not have the option to ask other people of their experience in dealing with this issue. Instead, I placed my trust in Dr. Sivaraman's qualifications and his extensive experience and I am glad I did that!
Visited Dr. Krishna Kumar K (General Physician)
I do not doubt his experience and expertise BUT *** ********* ******* ******** ** ********** ***************** he barely acknowledged me when I walked in, after I sat in the examination chair he asked me what was wrong and I don't think he really payed much attention to anything I said. He then proceeded to examine me for 30 seconds and then just sat back down on his chair and went back to whatever he was doing. I just sat there confused waiting for him to say something. He then just turns to me in a -oh why are you still here?- kind of manner and tells me to go wait outside and his assistent will come to bill me. I was so confused and ask what his diagnosis was and what's wrong with me and he looked almost annoyed that I was asking questions. He said I just have some infection so please go wait outside and they'll bring me my prescription.
When I got the prescription, under the part where it addresses what patient's concerns were, it mentions that I had stuffy nose for 1 week... which further confirms he wasn't paying attention to me because I CLEARLY told him I'd been suffering from congestion for over 2 weeks and have lost my sense of smell.
I'm sure whatever medicines he has prescribed me will work but that's more than what a doctor should be. He was so impatient and quick to dismiss me without even telling me what was wrong. **** **** ** * ****** ** ***** Act respectfully and educate your patients accordingly. Just because you are a senior doctor doesn't give you the right to treat people this way. Patients are entitled to know and be educated on their condition. That's the whole point of coming to the doctor. ** ********** *** *** * ******* *** *********, *** ** **** ** ****** **** ******** ** ******* ******* *** ** ** ******* ** *** *** ********
Will never go back to this doctor again. I suggest you find a better ENT. **** **** ******** ********* *** *** **** ***** *******
