Heart It Out

.i always wanted to try therapy because I always thought that everyone should be in therapy. We all have issues that we know or don’t know of.And it’s always better to get all the help we can .I had somehow gotten over the death of my aunt by the time I started seeing jyoti.I was doing pretty well by then.But I knew there was a lot of bad coping skills,a lot of thought biases and so on that I couldn’t possibly find by myself.We started of from my childhood and then we slowly progressed.During this process, a lot about my personality and life came up. I accessed parts of my psyche that I had forgotten about.Jyoti was so good at guiding me through.What she did was ask me these questions.now,I am the kind of person who hates explaining myself to even my own self.But jyoti made it so easy to do that and by that she helped me understand a lot about myself. by then the coronavirus pandemic Had started and all the things I thought I had gotten over started surfacing again.The same good old anxieties you know.And when that whole rabbit hole opened up,jyoti helped me through it. She still does!.it would be my pleasure to recommend Jyoti.What would work for me is a friend who has the wisdom to help me through a psychological hurdle.As it’s not a perfect world, that person didn’t exist in my life. And that person probably doesn’t exist in anybody’s life.Jyoti have sort of been that for me(that really says a lot about her as a therapist).I don’t know what her specialties are, but what she’s helped me through is with health anxiety.And I think she did a very good job at that; she still is.I hope my review help you . I have been on medication for PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, BPD and OCD since 2018. I have seen 4 doctors, and so far, Dr. Prerna has been the perfect fit for me. When I first consulted with her, I was on nearly 10 medications, sick of side effects and uncomfortable with my previous doctor's attitude towards my usage of substances. In the 5 months that I have been consulting Dr. Prerna, she has not only listened to me without any judgement, she has also been extremely kind and considerate of my needs, and solved every doubt between sessions on whatsapp. She has helped me reduce my meds to only 3 meds which work really well for me, and she has been appreciative of my efforts to take care of myself. It's the first time I have ever heard a psychiatrist tell me they are proud of me, that they think I am brave, that they think I am doing a good job. She has cleared all my doubts about the medicines and their side-effects, and has encouraged me when I have been feeling low about my health. My experience has been truly transformative. Dr. Prerna is also a LGBTQIA+ friendly professional who truly understands the nuances of being neurodivergent and works with you collaboratively. I will reccomend her to anyone who is struggling with trauma, ADHD, Depression or Anxiety. She has been my saviour.
