When i told Me Sreevathsa i had been diagnosed with Dysthymia, ** ****** ** ** **** ** ****** ***** *** **** ***** * *** * *** ***** ***** I didn't focus much on that. I explained my predicament and after hearing me out he stated very general statements regarding what is personality, self respect, how i should just forgive and let go of the situation and i didn't feel he heard my story when I tried to ask him how does this relate to my story. Towards the end he asked me a question on what i expect out of the situation i answered that i want to be "cordial" and he replied you don't want to be cordial what you want to be is "friendly". I said it is the same thing. He stated cordial means intimacy. I was really shocked. He didn't stop there he went to explain cordial comes from the word cord which means heart hence intimacy.*** **** ** * ********* *** **** *** **** *** ******* ** *** **** ******** **** ** ** ****** **** **** ** ***** ** ******* ****** ** *** ***** ******* ***** ** *********** And what i am even more concerned for some one who is seeking professional help and hence writing this review.

I can understand from the tone of the message that you were upset by the outcome of the counselling session. I would like to clarify some of the points here: 1. I understood that you were diagnosed with Dysthemia. Since I didn’t here it properly, I asked you to spell it. You explained to me instead of spelling it. Further, you informed that you didn’t like to take medicine for your disorder and trying manage it. 2. I was listening to you empathetically for nearly 40 minutes without interrupting you. 3. You completed your explanation of the issues and ask for my suggestions on what needs to be done from your end at that point in time. I clearly informed that as a Counselling Psychologist I am not supposed to give suggestions, advice or solve problems. However, I informed you that I can empower you to solve your life’s problems by providing information and the consequences of the decisions. 4. Since the incidences happened recently in your life, you seemed unhappy and disturbed. Hence, I tried my best to move you temporarily from feeling mode to thinking mode so that you can understand the situation and find solutions on your own. 4. I also talked about self awareness so that you can understand the situation in an unbiased way. 5. The time available for me to do the above was only 15 minutes. Hence, I requested you to have 2 or 4 sessions to get clarity. 6. Since you were looking for suggestions from me, you were not satisfied with my counselling process. You were not in a position to take some more sessions to understand it completely 7. Hence, you have given this feedback. 8. My recommendation to you is - please consult your psychiatrist again and start your drug therapy. Further, you can get recommendation from your psychiatrist for a suitable psychotherapist for psychotherapy sessions. The treatment will be more effective if drug therapy and psychotherapy are done together. 9. If you don’t start treatment immediately, your health condition may get aggravated.

I have developed many good qualities from dr sindhura aiyappa ,I was suffering from different problems,I was not ready to accept the things positively ,I used to show my frustration and angry to everyone but after going to Dr sindhura I have completely changed,the way dr consulted me and the friendly way she treated me made me so happy I had gone to councelling for 8 months that 8 months was my very precious and memorable days with dr sindhura, I always say my changes are due to the suggestions of dr ,so all credit goes to her ...thanks a lot dr sindhura aiyappa.....

I went for marriage counselling to Dr. Sindhura and I must say, she's someone who listens to you so attentively and patiently.

I have been on medication but still have ongoing difficulties in managing my symptoms. I have been consulting him as and when it gets overwhelming for me.
