Mr. Sandip Shobha

I was impressed by Dr. Sandip in the first session itself, as he gently pushed my focus straight to the problems and solutions instead of letting me feel sorry for myself and letting me whine (which I could have done for hours/days). 

In my case, Dr. Sandip went out of the routine responsibility to solve my problems. Dr. Sandip does not hesitate to involve the patient's family members and friends if they can add value. We together could dig down the experiences from my past (a few of them were more than 20 years old), which led to specific behavioral changes in me, which were the cause of some troubles. The best part was that I could clearly relate how those experiences caused behavioral changes in me with time. 

I have had an exciting journey, learning so much about Human phycology and understanding so many varieties of complexity every person can have within themselves. And it takes a guide like Dr. Sandip to explore them positively and easily untangle the complications.

A few words of advice to all fellow people who are looking for counseling -

Counseling works when BOTH these conditions are true 

1) Only when you want it to work. You are very dedicated to solving your problems or finding the answers you are looking for. 

2) Your counselor is more dedicated than you are. He can talk to you in your language and effectively communicate problems/solutions. 

It took me extreme sincerity, honesty, and courage to look deep down at myself and find answers to my problems. Dr. Sandip was very encouraging at every step. He made me comfortable enough to face my limitations and showed me the path to work on it. 

It has been almost four months, and my weekly sessions last for 2-3 hours. My journey is still in progress, and there is a lot I intent to explore with Dr. Sandip. 

Years ago I was diagnosed with BPD, I have been in therapy for years with a lot of improvement but it was also a lot of years that went into it. When I contacted Dr. Sandip, I was struggling really hard with my relationship issues and been struggling with suicidal thoughts (covid isolation had made it worse for me). I have a habit of asking too many questions and Dr. Sandip was patient enough to clarify all my doubts and he would explain in the way I would understand (which is rare for me). To me he has not just been a therapist but also a philosopher, guide and a mentor. I think I was very lucky to find him when I did. Few months later, my suicidal thoughts are gone, I’m more at peace with what is, I’ve become more focused on myself than what others think, I have better relationships with my friends and family. And the best part of it all is he helped me learn how to get answers from within me and how to rely on myself when there is a difficult situation. In my opinion that’s what true independence is.

When I first talked to him, he told me he believes we go for therapy so that we don’t have to go for therapy. Sounds funny and I know I had all my doubts (I was in therapy for 8 years before I met him), but he was so good that I really don’t think I ‘need’ therapy anymore. He kind of turned me into my own therapist. Not sure if that makes sense but I am very happy with the results and I would recommend anyone who is struggling with behaviour issues to see him.

Dr. Sandip’s approach is very solution oriented IMO. He is very open minded, empathetic and understanding but what I liked most about his approach is that he has a way to explain things like most people can’t. I’ve not had a single moment when I asked a question and his answer didn’t make sense to me. I’d forever be thankful to his guidance and support.

As most people are, even I was apprehensive about consulting a therapist online, but after my first few sessions, all my concerns were addressed, and I felt very comfortable talking to Dr. Sandip.

I consulted him for my anxiety and depression-related problems. Working on my problems with him, I realised the root cause of my anxiety and my disturbed emotions. He taught me ways to deal with difficult thoughts and emotions effectively and also provided me with a better perspective on my problems and my life in general. He has helped me become kinder towards myself, and that has made a lot of difference for me. I can see notable positive changes in me and my outlook towards life.

He was extremely patient and calm throughout the journey and was always approachable through texts or calls.

He may have an unconventional approach than most therapists, as he didn’t shy away from involving my friends and parents when he thought it was beneficial or necessary for me; he even recommend relevant books, movies, or series, and may even give a pop culture reference from time to time whenever needed.

Starting with therapy was difficult for me, but with time and Dr. Sandip’s efforts, the whole process became effortless.

He is a saviour.... I completely lost the power to discern right from wrong and my reality started fading... This impacted my people around and spread vile across lives of my lived ones...

I was wreathing in incessant pain of Depression coupled with Severe Anxiety Disorder since many many years that seemed like ages and lost all hope from life... He not only saved me , but stabilized me, helped me take right stands in life and also played a crucial role in assigning tasks so that i can foster and nurture my creative sides... I am much better now and comparatively stronger enough to fight against all odds.**** ** *** *****

Sandip is a very understanding and compassionate person. His personality traits helped me to open up to him with the difficulties I was/am having in my life and our sessions with psychoanalysis supported me with my journey back to recovery. I found Sandip to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was able to understand how to build a rapport with me and maintain an engaging conversation, which helped me to understand and explore our topics of discussion with ease, during our conversations. He maintained an appropriate balance of listening to my thoughts whilst simultaneously providing a blueprint through which we could navigate our discussions. Very happy with our sessions and would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

I was referred to Dr.Sandeep by a friend of mine. Earlier I was dependent only on medicines prescribed by my psychiatrist, but when it took therapy from Dr.Sandeep ,I realized how important therapy is,along with medicines. Dr. Sandeep's sessions worked like magic on me and I'm indeed grateful to him for helping me heal myself so well.

Suffering from too much anxiety & being in panic all the time, i approached the doctor. He helped me through alternative thought sheets as well as Socratic questioning of thoughts. Once, i ingrained these habits, they have helped me a lot. He candidly said that i won't need more than 3-4 sessions. And, here i am, living same conditions in a much much better state.

Also, i would love to recommend his workshops on mindfulness. They are a boon at any stage of life. Rather than purchasing 100 self help books which is the fad now a days & i did as well, it would be great if you attend his workshop.

For someone going through hard times, practically and psychologically, a situation where hope was lost, he was my last ditch effort. And it might be one of the best decisions I did make. Rather than becoming dependent on him for help, he makes one dependent on themself for their own well - being. He helps by teaching oneself to help themself, and understand themself without intermingling his identity with ours. Writing a para on him would be difficult, for that would become an complete essay. But one thing is for sure, he helps one in ways one might not be able to comprehend. By restoring much needed dignity, respect and awareness of oneself, in themself.
