Recently I had a Laproscopic hernial repair done at Columbia Asia. Since I am not originally from Pune, I relied on my friends/colleagues to refer good surgeons. After getting a couple of good recommendations from my friends for Dr. Sudhir Jadhav, I felt confident consulting him regarding the surgery (I had also done some online research and felt good about the choice). When I met with him, he came off as a very competent yet down to earth surgeon and explained the whole issue, options, pros and cons, including being frank about recovery, risks, and cost. Even though the decision was clear, he made it feel like I always had the final choice. I had decided on Columbia Asia as it’s a well rated hospital and very close to where I live. It does have well known resident surgeons, but yet, I decided to go with Dr. Sudhir (who operates in multiple hospitals – Motherhood, Jehangir, Sahyadri etc). He took personal interest and helped by coming with me to complete all pre-op testing and gave all instructions to prepare, etc. When I was in pre-op room and some of the staff found out I was getting Hernia surgery, couple of them told me Dr. Sudhir was one of the best Laproscopy surgeons and that I was in safe hands. He used to work in the hospital before. All this built up my confidence. Even after the surgery, he provided good care helping with initial walk, answering all questions for recovery etc. His quiet confidence helped me trust him with all the advice he was giving me. Happy to say all went well, I got discharged the next day and had a follow-up a few days later. It’s been 3 weeks since the surgery now and I feel good being able to carry on with normal activity.

Overall, I have nothing but gratitude towards Dr. Sudhir Jadhav for taking care of me and I sincerely wish him the best. I’d be happy to strongly recommend him for any Laproscopy surgery not just for his skills, but also his ability to relate to each patient on a personal basis.

Disappointing Follow-Up and Lack of Resolution

I recently visited Dr. Nikheel Pansare for my mother’s follow-up appointment, as her earlier treatment had provided no significant relief. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing for several reasons:

The initial treatment plan did not yield any significant improvement in my mother’s condition, prompting us to seek further consultation.

Dr.Nikheel Pansare advised an MRI and NCV test, which we promptly completed. However, after seeing the test results, they ****** referred us to another doctor based on the NCV test and ignored the original issue.

Despite the test results, Dr. did not address the primary concern that brought us in for the follow-up. When I asked about my mother’s original lower back pain issue, suggested continuing with the same treatment plan, even though it had already proven ineffective and same they did mentioned in prescription.

The follow-up process was ****** ******** **** no clear explanation or next steps provided.

He save my son's life who was met with unfortunate accident and had multiple extreme level fractures in hand, leg,foot, etc. and was in critical condition with almost no pulses. Dr. Vinay did major emergency surgeries on the same day we admited my son.

After the surgery we believes that they given a second life to my son.

My Child underwent a limb lengthening surgery with Dr Ashish Ranade and we are in touch with him almost since an year now(since our first visit)

I would like share my experience (I wouldn’t call it a review) in two parts:

1. Doctor Ashish Ranade: ** ** *** **** ********* ********** ******* well experienced. He has patience to the level of peaks. Answers all the questions with a smile (even the last 100th question) and pretty much reachable on phone as well. He boosted lot of confidence to my child at each and every stage, made him aware and involved of the treatment through videos/photos/words * *** ** *** *** ******* ********* ** ******* ****** ** *** ******* * ***** ** ** *** ***** He doesn’t suggest medication or xray/scanogram unnecessarily though parents stress him out of anxiety. He doesn’t handover the case to his assistant dr -99% times he directly pays attention to patient. He treats based on patient symptoms and not purely based on reports.

2. Limb Lengthening Treatment: Only bad part of it is the projected pins/size of fixator which cannot be avoided. Best part is Angle correction and lengthening both can be achieved in one go. Almost 6 months of discomfort and can recover pretty well. Almost from next day of surgery can start walking with the help of support and as days progress/ get used to the fixator can take stairs also. Another problem with it as all these rods are aliens – infections are pretty much expected- with proper timely attention and doctors advice- can be mitigated too…Physiotherapy plays a vital role and shouldn’t be neglected- even for this Dr Prachi Joag, Core physio therapy clinic, Kothrud done an amazing job! (Physiotherapist is also referral of Dr Ashish)

I had a very satisfying experience during my medical period recently attended by doctor Jadhav.

I went for Gall Bladder stones and sir explained 1st about how it will create stones in detail with a diagram without getting panic situation and said needs a small laparoscopic surgery.

From the day till now Dr Sudhir Jadhav sir so caring and whenever I call doctor answered and explained so well.

I underwent a Laparoscopic procedure for Inguinal Hernia about a month and a half ago which was done by Dr. Sudhir Jadhav.

I got extensive support from him before as well as post my inguinal hernia surgery. His briefings and advice were very helpful in planning the surgery and thereafter my recovery during the pandemic.

Overall, my experience was very positive, and I would definitely recommend Dr Sudhir Jadhav as a healthcare provider. He is quite capable and competent in addition to his affable bedside manner.

Dr Sudhir is a great doctor. I visited him for my father’s hernia operation. Starting from the checkup to the operation, he had been very supportive. He explains the problem and solutions in detail so the patient will have clear and better understanding. Though my father was but reluctant for the operation in this visit to me but got totally convinced about the operation to avoid delay and any complicated situation that might occur due to coarse of time.

The best post operative precaution that the doctor had taken was to apply right wraps on the abdomen due to which swelling and water filling was least. Earlier those precautions were not taken by the doctors. Even though it was a recurrent hernia, I really appreciate the doctor for handling and taking care of it so nice.
