He currently serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and the Director of Orthopaedics at Sahyadri Super Specialty Hospital, Hadapsar, Pune. Dr. Patil is widely recognized for his profound knowledge in orthopaedics and his commitment to advancing the field.
Having completed his MBBS from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 1995, Dr. Patil further enhanced his expertise by obtaining a DNB and MNAMS. In addition, he earned a Diploma in Orthopaedics from Shivaji University in 1998, under the National Board. His academic pursuits and clinical excellence have made him a respected figure in the orthopedic community.
Beyond his clinical practice at Sahyadri Hospital, Dr. Patil is actively involved in several professional societies and associations. He holds key positions such as Secretary of the Indian Foot and Ankle Society, Secretary of the Pune Orthopedic Society, Executive Committee Member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, and Executive Committee Member of the Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Patil is also passionate about research and education. He serves as the Section Editor for the Foot and Ankle Section of the Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports (JOCR) and is an Associate Editor for BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders. His expertise is further demonstrated through his involvement in various fellowship programs, including the prestigious Traveling Fellowship Program in 2015, awarded by the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), USA. Additionally, he undertook a fellowship in Charcot Foot Reconstruction at UTMB University in Houston, Texas, in 2015, under the Department of Orthopedics.
