Hi,myself John Robin age 46.an accountant by profession, a sitting job, due to which I was over weight person of 200 kgs,some 3 yrs back.

due to my weight gain I was facing lot of problems . I had spent lot of time and money on various methods to loose weight, but all was in vain, instead of loosing I was gaining,.

And one day, I met a friend, who,once upon a time had the same issue as mine, and surprisingly now he almost lost 90 kgs, standing fit and fine in front of me.

Over new year's Eve, I was struggling with severe discomfort and pain. I was worried as to whom to consult over New Year's day and hesitantly whatsapp'd Dr.Rayate to check his availability. He immediately confirmed and asked me to meet him the same evening. Dr. Rayate identified my issue as External Thrombosed Piles and advised me to undergo a laser sphincterotomy at the earliest. In the interim he had prescribed medicines and sitz bath which made the pain very much bearable. I underwent surgery after the necessary pre-op tests and it is more than couple of months now. I'm fit and back to normal. Dr Rayate is extremely friendly and easily approachable. He exhibits keeness to explain the medical terminologies in layman terms for his patients to understand their health which also helps us take informed decisions. It was Friday the 20th Nov 2020, I had sent all my reports to Dr Neeraj Rayate and wanted his opinion on the type of surgery that he will administer on me for the gall bladder infection and stones , open or Laparoscopic! The confidence with which he replied as Laparoscopic surgery 99% and 1% I will decide on the operation table if opening is needed , this confidence of his , gave me courage to travel all the way from Mumbai to Pune , Doctors in Mumbai were of the opinion that open surgery is needed as the infection is more .

Dr Rayate has a very relaxed demeanor and makes you comfortable so that you can share the most about issue at hand. He hears you out completely and then goes on to make his assessment. In my case (Fissure in Ano), the previous doctor had directly recommended a surgery but Dr Rayate advised medicines as the first line of defense and only when it didn't work (the situation was not getting better even after 6 weeks), we went ahead with spinchterotomy on my request.

Dr Rayate explained everything in detail beforehand (what to expect) and was there throughout to answer questions. Even during the surgery, he kept on talking and informing about the progress. The surgery went smoothly without any pain and the post surgery recovery was amazingly swift and painless (now i wish i had not waited that long and endured that much main for so many days). He doesn't call you for unnecessary follow ups and is always a call/SMS away for any questions!
