I visited her for my entire pregnancy until 37weeks. From the beginning I made it clear that I wanted a natural and unmedicated birth. She agreed that she could accommodate such request. Throughout pregnancy she did not take any information or ask many questions of how I was feeling. She seemed more concerned with getting me in and out. When scans or test results arrived she barely took notice, even when numbers were out of range and implied infection. At 37 weeks, I spoke with her about the pending delivery and procedures I did not want to undergo. I was first sent to hospital managers to have them tell me what was hospital policy and half of the things they did not understand. The staff was uneducated and unsupportive of ideas supporting a breastfeeding mother, I was shamed for my weight and told that I would have to go through procedures because it was assumed since I am big my baby will be big and would need assistance to come out(he was barely 2.5kg) and was told that if I had a problem with this I could Google it.
