After completing post graduation (MS) he had higher surgical training in General, Laparoscopic, and Bariatric (obesity) Surgery in the United Kingdom and Belgium. Dr. Girish Bapat specializes in Obesity Surgery- Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass, Mini Gastric Bypass and Gastric Balloon. Dr. Bapat also has vast experience in advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries such as Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gall bladder stone surgery) for gall bladder stone disease, Nissens Fundoplication (Surgery for Gastric Reflux Acidity (GERD), Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair and Endoscopy.
