Excellent Cataract Surgery & Care

My mother, Ujvala Kankapure, underwent cataract surgeries at Nandadeep Seri under Dr. Bhushan Wadekar’s care. She is diabetic, so her sugar levels were first stabilized before surgery. Both surgeries were initially planned on different days, but after the first successful procedure, Dr. Wadekar suggested completing the second surgery on the same day. This decision worked very well and helped in faster overall recovery.

We opted for the top available lens variants for both eyes, and within a week, her vision improved to around 95%, with excellent clarity for both near and distance vision.

Dr. Wadekar is calm, approachable, and highly experienced. He explains everything clearly and inspires confidence. Highly recommended for cataract surgeries.

The hospital has new, clean infrastructure with good ambience. As the hospital is relatively new, coordination among staff and communication about waiting times can improve, as patients and attendants are often left unsure about delays. We hope this gets better over time.

Overall, a very positive experience with excellent surgical outcomes.

Visited for Cataract SurgeryI had been through a cataract operation of my right eye at Siddhivinayak Eye and Research Institute Pimple Saudagar, Pune, recently. Having been a diabetic and blood pressure patient, I had a brief baggage of retinopathy; nevertheless Dr. Bhushan Wadekar an MD and FRCS (Opthalmology), an expert in Eye Surgery who has an experience of fifteen years in this field conducted the operation on my eye so skillfully that I cannot say a word of complaint.Considering the critical background of my case history, I was a little dubious enough whether things might work on a proper track or not. But it played wonders.Doctor Bhushan Wadekar's strategies are par excellence. He holds unbelievable conversations with the patient in such a way that the patient rises up with majestic confidence. This doctor's unique method along with his high quality education in the field and his combined experience arrive at desirable results. I first consulted with Dr Wadekar sometime in early 2020 for a routine eye/check up.

When my vision got a bit hazy and I visited Dr Wadekar’s surgery and was diaginised with early cataract.

During my consultation with Dr Wadekar, he explained the problem and advised that I don’t need to have immediate surgery but explained that with modern treatments available it was recommended that it’s easier to remove the cataract in the early stages.

My wife and discussed and decided to bite the bullet and go for the surgery.

I had the surgery for my right eye on 7th July and the left on 14th July.

I found the experience to be very good as Dr Wadekar was advising and comforting me throughout the procedure and reassuring me that everything would be fine.

This is important because the medical fraternity is usually arrogant and the doctors think that the patients are ignorant and don’t need to be given details of the procedure.

Dr Wadekar is completely different from the usual surgeon in that he clearly explained the details of the surgery, its implications.

He also explained the different types of lenses available and recommended the one that he felt was most appropriate for me given my age, the fact that I had previously had lasik surgery to correct my vision.

To sum it up, it was a fantastic experience with friendly and courteous staff.

For me it was it turned out to be a walk in the park.I would recommend people with similar or any other eye related problems to make this clinic their first and last port of call.

I had visited Dr. Bhushan, for the cataract treatment of both of the eyes of my mother. I would like to say that it was a very pleasant experience and my mother was very happy with the results after her cataract surgery. Dr. Bhushan, is very friendly and his way of explanation of the medical issues the patient is going through and the applicable treatment is such that the patient starts feeling positive and confident about the treatment. The staff is also very friendly and have helped us with all the necessary queries and procedures. At the end, my mother was very happy with the oucome of the treatment and the overall experience she went through and can't thank Dr. Bhushan and his staff enough for the new found vision.

Overall the doctor was very sweet and nice. He has explained us thoroughly about cataract operation by doing detailed analysis. He has good knowledge on his subject. My Operation went good and it was win win situation for both of us since I was not having insurance.

To get into excellent, few improvement areas,

Waiting period for customer in clinic is more, so that needs to manage properly .

Operation processes need more transparency on the lens part due to missing artefacts.

Doctor had very successfully performed Cataract Surgery for my father earlier. I wanted to do a general Eye Checkup for myself and get my new specs made hence visited him again.

As expected we had an awesome experience this time too. Doctor is super-friendly and gives ample time to explain things in detail. He makes you very comfortable and ensures you feel valued.

Dr. Bhushan Wadekar is a gem in himself. No doubt. But even his supporting staff is equally kind and helpful. I would specifically like to thank Dr. Ashwini who did my eye checkup for specs. She is really good. She ensured the checkup was thorough and I was comforted well with the best advise for my specs. I am using these specs for more than 1 month now and I must say these are by far the best quality specs I have got in a very reasonable cost.
