Ms. Debasmita is functioning from Seraniti, Pune.She has done Masters in Clinical Psychology from SNDT University, Pune. She has also trained intensively in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute, Sattelite Center in India, following it up with further training in CBT from the Beck Institute, Philadelphia, USA. During her internship and coursework, she has worked with adolescents and adults suffering from Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychosis and Trauma, under supervision. Later she has worked with adolescents and adults from different backgrounds. She has experience in dealing with Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Family and Relationship Counselling, Work-life Imbalance and Stress Management, Trauma and Grief Management.She has also worked with youths helping them build confidence and decision making skills, to enhance their potential.Though her training is primarily in CBT, she too understands the need to modify therapeutic interventions based on clients needs and preferences and practices integrative approaches.She believes as a mental health professional it is our responsibility to modify our practices according to the needs of present times and our society, to reach out and benefit as many people as possible.
