An aluminus of prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute, Trivandrum, he completed his medical graduation at prestigeous KEM Hospital , Mumbai with three distinctions . After completing postgraduation in General Surgery at GMC, Nagpur as a merit holder, he was selected at a national entrance exam for SCTIMST Neurosurgery programme in first attempt.After completing his neurosurgical training, he pursued 1 year Post doctoral Fellowship in Cerebrovascular surgery from SCTIMST Kerala in the year 2011.He has worked at Central India Institute Of Medical Sciences, Nagpur for 6 long years and established comprehensive epilepsy surgery unit. CIIMS, Nagpur is a 100 bedded dedicated neurosciences setup, one of its kind in MAHARASHTRA and Dr Dhakoji performed many complex neurosurgeries, , spine , aneurysms, along with epilepsy surgeries. He visited Cleveland clinic, ohio for advanced epilepsy surgery training under Prof. Gonzalez.
