Recently my mother who was quite unwell was admitted to Noble Hospital, Magarpatta, Pune
On the second day of her admission, she was diagnosed with abscess in her stomach and we were advised for an immediate surgery. We were introduced to Dr Abhijit Whatkar and told that he will operate her. We all were a bit traumatised hearing about the operation but it all started with the 1st experience with the Doctor. He patiently explained us what was the problem and how will he operate. Imagine how comforting it was for us
Despite the fact that my mother’s age (77 years) was a big risk factor but to our delight the surgery was successful
Further, he spent quality time post operation explaining us with photos and video of what all happened in the OT after 4 hours of hectic work. The operation started at 11 pm and ended at 330 am. My mother was thereafter shifted to the ICU. To our surprise 8 am in the morning, we met the Doctor, looking fresh as a daisy, in the ICU to check on my mother. Must say he is absolutely driven and dedicated to his work.
My mother spent 20 days in the Hospital and with each passing day, the treatment, support & response Dr Whatkar provided was exceptional and my entire family is all praises for him. In the hospital, we found him the only person who is able to understand the mental state of the patient’s family and thus build trust & transparency with them. A true attitude of Sewa Bhawana
