Dr. Abhay Somani

We met Dr Abhay Somani first time when we rushed my 80 yrs. old mother-in-law to hospital with condition of ‘Heart Failure'.

After investigations, he suggested Angiography and a ‘Pacemaker Implant'. Initially, we had serious reservations whether she will be able to withstand this surgery at this old age. Dr Somani listened to our doubts and convinced us that it is totally safe to go ahead with this surgery and it will improve her condition very much.

She has 3 coronary stents, 2, renal stents put and a pacemaker implanted in her body, done by Dr. Somani. Her condition has improved significantly since her surgery and heart is now functioning perfectly fine. Her heart function capacity which had dropped down to 35% (LVEF) has now gone up to 50% which is considered normal. Her Atrial Fibrillation (AF) load has also come down substantially since her surgery. It was a good decision we took to go ahead with surgery even if she is old.

The best quality about Dr Somani is that he listens to the doubts of the patients and explains the pros and cons of his actions. Also, he is very easily approachable, always available on phone for any guidance and replies to the queries sent on phone. This is a quality not seen in very many doctors these days.

It was in April 2020 during lockdown out of the blue I got an heart attack. As I reside at Salunkhe Vihar Road my family rushed me to Ruby Hall Wanowri, which we reached within 10 minutes or so. The ER personal immediately contacted Dr. Abhay Somani and administered the required emergency treatment.

Within a hour or so I started feeling comfortable again as the sweating stopped, the shoulder and arm pain eased and the tightness in the chest subsided, it seemed things were returning to normal.

After I tested negative for covid (which took 2 days) I was taken for an Angiogram.

Now I must admit my nervousness, as a smoker I was just praying that I don't have to put more than one stent, anyway Dr. Somani calmed me and completed the Angiogram ever so gently and thoroughly, after which he went out and spoke to my Son and Daughter, and here I was with my fingers crossed, praying, only one, only one.

The Doctor returned and told me," Mr. Sheikh you don't need any stents", can you imagine the joy I felt.

Here I wish to express my genuine respect for Dr. Abhay Somani who in these very trying and confusing times has shown such high standards of ethics and competence Thank you Sir.

It's now nearly 10 months and under Dr. Somanis treatment I have resumed all my normal activities excepting smoking ofcourse.

Doctor Abhay Somani sir (Ruby Hall Clinic, Wanworie, Pune) is a good example of this, doctors are really gods for us. Their dedicated service, skilled treatment, and patient care are their true hallmarks. It is difficult to praise such a doctor in words. It is because of the tireless efforts of Dr. Abhay Somani that today my father is breathing in this world. He brought papa out of a very critical condition by giving CPR twice during the NGO plasty. It is difficult to express in words the support that Dr. Abhay sir gave us in this difficult situation. Interestingly, whenever a call is made to the doctor, they receive it immediately or call back for guidance. There can be no better choice than Dr. Somani sir for treatment of heart diseases. I would definitely recommend them. We are forever grateful for their dedicated service.
