Dr Aayush Gupta is Professor and Head of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pune. He has over a decade of experience in clinical dermatology, teaching and research, and leads a large academic dermatology service with access to advanced diagnostic, procedural, laser and phototherapy facilities.His clinical interests include psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia and hair disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, pigmentation, dermatologic surgery, scar management, lasers and aesthetic dermatology. He has particular experience in the use of biologics, targeted therapies and newer systemic treatments for inflammatory and immune-mediated skin disease, and works extensively with dermoscopy, trichoscopy, phototherapy and energy-based devices.Alongside clinical practice, Dr Gupta is actively involved in clinical trials and investigator-led research across dermatology. His academic work also includes regenerative dermatology, engineered human skin and 3D skin bioprinting, wound-healing research and medical-device development. He is an inventor on three patents and has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications.He also directs postgraduate dermatology training at DPU and works closely with residents and multidisciplinary research collaborators. His clinical approach is evidence-based and focused on accurate diagnosis, appropriate use of advanced therapies and clear discussion of treatment options with patients.
