I normally do not respond to feedbacks given... whether they are Positive or Negative as my silent Gratitude is always with the ones who have reacted positively and for those who have reacted negatively, I always wish them a better experience with any other doctor they choose to see other than me in the best interest of the child. Here, I specifically chose to respond since there are a few one sided inconsistencies that are unfairly being attributed to my Staff and Myself. Yes, I am Very Particular about my patients being on time for their appointments or early if possible. I strive to ensure minimal to no waiting times for my patients. Hence when one patient comes late when the appointments are full, it has a cascading effect on other appointments for no fault of patients who have come on time themselves. Coming for appointments on time is a Patient responsibility whatever the constraints. We make sure that we are on time or early... Always to catch a Plane, A Train or a Bus, even reach a movie hall earlier than show time whatever the constraints or "circumstances". We don't blame traffic for reaching late...infact we ensure that we factor that in so that we still reach earlier than schedule, because we know none of these other services will "wait" for us if we are late. Then why take a Doctor's time for granted and them make him seem to be the culprit for pointing it out? In this specific instance, this was not the First visitation to my clinic for You. This was the Third, and the repeat visits would suggest that You were considerably satisfied with my Consultations and interactions with regard to your Baby and would have been more than aware about my insistance on being on time. I would also like to point out that even for the past consultations, appointment times were not adhered to with significant delay. In this instance too there was a delay of close to 45 minutes. This after rescheduling a 5.30pm appointment taken initially to a 6.15pm appointment and then not adhering to that either. This blocks appointment slots for other patients. I had a full calander on the day. My Receptionist followed up with you twice and on both occasions she was told you would arrive in 5 to 10 minutes as you were delayed by "traffic". When you did not still arrive post the initial delay she merely conveyed to you to reschedule the appointment for the next day as I would not be able to see you on the same day as it would affect my other patients schedule. Yet you insisted on coming and were immidiately shown into my cabin for a Consultation as soon as you arrived, without any wait time as I had just finished with a previous Patient and was waiting for the next. Once in, I simple but firmly expressed to you that you were extremely late for your appointment which was not appreciated and would impact the time I give you for my Consultation as I could not let another Patient who comes on time be made to wait if this Consultation gets prolonged. Both you and your husband were fine with this. I have through the Consultation patiently answered All your questions and queries posed to me regarding your baby to which at that point there was no counter posed. The "rash" on the baby's face/eyes was also checked. I do not like to unnecessarily medicate baby's and felt that this needed no intervention. I would never ever not treat or examine a Baby improperly or impatiently for the faults of the parents. That is not in consonance with my Ethics as the Baby is my Patient and not the Parents and the Baby is always innocent and not at Any fault. In the time you were with me during the entire Consultation, 3 other patients came in for their appointments and were waiting outside. All these people had come on time. That's how long the consultation took and so by no means was it in any way rushed or hurried through. I did mention to you that if all queries had been answered then we will have to end the Consult as others who were on time were waiting and getting delayed. You seemed to understand this then, asked your husband if there were anymore questions and since there seemed to be none we ended the Consultation. As far as payment of my fees are concerned, you have always paid my fees online or through UPI, on one occasion when you have gone back home at not immidiately at the clinic itself. So I'm not fastidious about immidiate payments. This time too, since you were going to make a UPI payment, I requested you to do it as you wait outside, in the waiting area or once you reach home, so that I could see the next Patient. I think this request is very reasonable. I want to be categoric here to expressly state that there was absolutely NO throwing of files or receipts that was indulged in by me during the entire Consultation. If my being "firm" in communicating to you about what I believe in or my Receptionist merely doing her job is considered being "rude", then it is a matter of individual perception which I would not be able to argue with or attempt to change. I will beg to differ and agree to disagree. I wish You, Your Husband and Your Lovely Baby, All the Very Best for the future and genuinely hope that you find a suitable Doctor to take forward your Baby's needs in a way that completely satisfies you both.
