Pramodini Urology Foundation is the leading urology care Hospital in Maharashtra. It has grown leaps and bounds in last 7 to 8 years with overwhelming support from all the Doctors and the general population. We were proud to install the first individual Dornier Lithotripsy Machine in Pune in 2002. We were also proud to start the first Plasma Kinetic Energy in Maharashtra, for TURP using ACMI (using normal saline as irrigating medium) in 2004. Subsequently it was upgraded to Gyrus Pk machine in 2006.Pramodini Urology Foundation has done more than 4000 Lithotripsies until now on its Dornier Alfa Lithotripsy machine which is one of the best machines in the world. Dual localization on 9-inch high-resolution C arm and BK (Denmark) Falcon USG machine give very high success rates in the range of 90%. We have done all types of stones from 5-6 mm to 5 cm and age varying from 7 months to 94 years. We have treated patients of upper, middle as well as lower ureteric stones by ESWL.

I feel humbled to share my thoughts and experience with Dr. Ketan Vartak, from March 29, 2025, to the present.
