Since its inception in late 1980s, AATC has been striving hard to attain a scientific and rational approach to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and other atopic disorders.Allergy & Asthma Treatment Centre (AATC) was set up 1980s by the joint efforts of renowned clinical Immunologist Late Prof (Dr) Sachin Choudhuri, MB. PhD and renowned Pulmonologist and Vir Chakra recipient Late Brig (Dr) Niren Das, MB, DARCP&S (Lon), FICS, FCCP (USA).Presently headed by Dr. Arijit Das (Managing Director), one of the leading allergists and ably supported by his eminent allergist and Pulmoonologist colleagues Dr. Saibal Moitra, Dr Aratrika Das and others.The state of the art diagnostic set up of N C Das Immunomedicare Pvt Ltd has been assisting patients from West Bengal, neighbouring Indian states and across Bangladesh through their well experienced and trained clinicians and technologists identifing and managing Bronchial Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Atopic Urticaria and other allergic dermatoses.Additionally, there also exists in the clinic well equipped Respiratory and Pathological Laboratories possessing facilities for the accurate and computerised assessment of lung functional, radiological, general and specialised serological parameters, specifically relating to cases of Bronchial Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary diseases (COPD). It is envisaged in the very near future to incorporate appurtenant facilities for computerised blood gas assessments and bronchoscopic examinations. Plans for total and comprehensive in-house care facilities for chronic patients and acute respiratory cases are also being drawn up together with a COPD Management Centre, Sleep Study facilities and a Centre for Critical Care Medicine, in the not too distant future.The clinic already has well equipped Respiratory and Pathological Laboratories facilitating accurate and computerized assessment of lung function, radiological, general and specialized serological parameters specifically relating to Bronchial Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD). Expansion plans include facilities for computerized blood gas assessments and bronchoscopic examinations, total and comprehensive in-house care facilities for chronic patients and acute respiratory cases, COPD Management Centre, Sleep Study facilities and a Centre for Critical Care Management are in the pipeline.
