Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi

I consulted Dr. Vijaya for two of my family members (1. Major road accident and 2. Life threatening medical condition) in the last six months.

Dr. Vijaya is very professional with her approach and very clear in articulating and explaining the problem and possible treatments. She shared all the facts in detail from medical perspective and what best alternate treatments I might have to choose from. She has shown lot of patience with us answering all our questions and (re)assuring us.

Unlike corporate hospitals / doctors, she never prescribed any medical tests or medicine or any other medical needs unnecessarily.

One of the best things about Dr. Vijaya is, she considered complete condition of the patient (instead of having limited focus) and side effects

and then prescribed the medicine / next course of action. For e.g. she considered and explained how an antibiotic to treat that medical condition might impact the liver function and how long we can continue that medicine, etc... She virtually explained every medicine - why she is prescribing it and what will happen if we don't take it. Same is the case with every medical test - what does she want to know and why it is important for the patient. This gave us lot of trust and confidence in the doctor.

Another great quality about Dr. Vijaya is, she did not hide facts and she did not beat around the bush to explain the situation. She clearly explained the facts and possible options - she is straight and honest - all the information she shared gave us lot of confidence on next possible steps and what to expect and what not to expect. She is transparent with the treatment and we were glad to find Dr. Vijaya.

She has been there for us through out the treatment period and without her support, we couldn't have sailed thru the troubled times (both financially and health wise).

With my experience, i highly recommend Dr. Vijaya.

Dr. Vijaya was the primary physician for my brother in law who suffered brain stroke followed by brain haemorrhage. She was spot on with diagnosis, treatment and also guiding us through various specialists, surgery, rehabilitation and recovery process as a primary care. Her medical opinion and advise was always centred around the patient while keeping the open communication with patient and relatives. Her invaluable suggestions supported the whole treatment process and helped speedy recovery with minimum issues. Also her global experience as a physician supporting rehabilitation, critical care helped in assessing some of the risks ahead and planning treatment accordingly.
