Since 2023, I had a slight swelling on the left side of my lower jaw which used to reduce on its own over time, so I unfortunately neglected it. However, in February 2026, the swelling started increasing rapidly and spread to almost half of my lower face. My face had become extremely swollen, almost like a ball, and the pain was becoming unbearable.
I initially visited a local dentist, who wisely advised me to consult an expert Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon immediately. One of my family friend’s brothers, an MD Medicine specialist from Bidar, strongly recommended that I consult Dr. V. Srinivas Reddy at AIG Hospitals. At first, I hesitated, thinking AIG was a highly sophisticated hospital and perhaps beyond my reach. But when the pain and swelling worsened significantly in early March, I decided to act without delay.
I searched online, found Dr. V. Srinivas Reddy through Practo and located his clinic Smiletime Dental Clinic, and booked an appointment. That decision truly changed everything.
From the very first consultation, Dr. Srinivas impressed me with his professionalism, confidence, and deep expertise. He conducted a thorough and meticulous examination, immediately suspected an Odontogenic Keratocyst (OKC) with infection, and advised a 3D X-ray scan. The scan revealed a massive cystic cavity occupying the left lower jaw and extending toward the ear region. A biopsy was performed, which confirmed the diagnosis of Odontogenic Keratocyst.
Dr. Srinivas then successfully performed surgery at AIG Hospitals and removed the large cyst with outstanding precision. I sincerely believe that had this condition not been treated in time, it could have led to serious complications. What impressed me the most was his exceptional surgical skill, through which he carefully preserved my facial nerve and surrounding structures—something I am deeply grateful for.
Beyond surgery, Dr. Srinivas, dedication to patient care has been remarkable. His close follow-ups, constant monitoring, and attentive post-surgical guidance ensured that my recovery was smooth, fast, and free from infection. The healing of the surgical site happened much quicker than I expected, which speaks volumes about his expertise and commitment.
