Immediately, after the completion of MBBS degree, in the year 2002, Dr. Jawad Ahmed went to UK to pursue my aspirations of acquiring the specialization degrees and to gain valuable experience by working for the world-famous hospitals under the supervision of exceptionally skilled professional doctors.From 2007, he predominantly worked in managing diabetic patients, right from the time of diagnosis, initiating therapy, both in type 1 and type 2 patients; with regular reviews, and follow-up to ensure patient’s needs are adequately met, in order to allow them to enjoy a healthy life, free from complications of diabetes. His expertise is immensely focused on the advanced management of diabetes and intensification of treatment by making use of modern insulin as well as recently developed inject able therapies such as GLP1 analogues. Has also worked intensively in Insulin pump therapy, which is another way of managing type 1 and some type 2 patients.The other area of his expertise is the management of diabetic foot problems. He has worked with some of the best-renowned foot specialists, and podiatrists of Leicester (UK), and acquired the most holistic experience in providing the care needed to confront the menace of foot ulcer and its complications.Has attended Courses and Conferences like Pisa International diabetic foot course, theory and practice.
