Dr. Minhaz Karkhanawala

Dr. Minhaz Karkhanawala completed his MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology) from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, earning 27 gold medals throughout his academic journey, including one for Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology. This stellar academic record is reflected in his clinical skills and capability to devise treatment plans for complex cases. Dr. Karkhanawala has a keen interest in anterior segment surgeries and has developed proficiency in cataract surgery using both phacoemulsification and Manual SICS techniques. He performs a high volume of surgeries regularly and has trained several junior surgeons in these procedures. Additionally, he is skilled in other anterior segment surgeries, such as pterygium excision with autograft, amniotic membrane transplantation, trabeculectomy, and corneal/scleral tear repairs.His interest extends to the often overlooked subspecialty of Low Vision Aids.
