We first came to know about my father’s kidney stones during the pre-surgical evaluations for his CABG procedure. An ultrasound and CT KUB scan revealed multiple stones in both kidneys, with one having moved into the ureter, which made the situation riskier. On the recommendation of Dr. Kalyan Kumar, we opted for DJ stenting as a precautionary measure before the heart surgery. Since then, we have been under Dr. Kalyan’s care.
Dr. Kalyan has a wonderful persona—he communicates clearly, is approachable, and has a straightforward, honest approach that we truly respect. As a preventive measure, he advised us to have the DJ stent replaced every three months, and we have continued to follow that guidance.
After a year, a follow-up CT scan revealed a significant increase in the number of stones—around 35-40 in each kidney. Dr. Kalyan initially tried to treat the stones using laser treatment, ****** ** *** **** ******* However, due to the large size (35 mm), it was a challenging case. He then recommended further procedures and handled everything with utmost dedication and care.
What truly stood out was his availability during emergencies—he was always responsive, which gave us immense comfort. Dr. Kalyan not only provided expert medical treatment but also gave us moral support throughout, which meant a lot to our family.
We also want to appreciate his team. Assistant doctor Abhilash and spokesperson Shalini were always helpful, kind, and professional, making the entire experience much smoother.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Kalyan Kumar and his team for their excellent care and continued support.

Dr Kalyan is thoroughly professional and very friendly. He lends a patient ear and explains the problems very clearly. I had visited him with a complaint of calculus of uterus (Kidney stone). He performed the surgery and ensured that I was comforted by carefully responding to all the questions I had. Highly recommend him for urological ailments.
