Dr. Swapna P

Dr. Swapna obtained her M.B.B.S from Rajiv University of Health Science, Bangalore in 2004. She also completed her DNB (Diplomate of the National Board) in India in 2012. She independently handles antenatal outpatients, provides routine care and counseling as per the woman's needs. She regularly attends to pre-operative evaluation and preparations for Obstetric and Gynecological Surgeries. She manages post-operative patients and handles complications well. She also manages labor room under supervision of consultants, induction and augmentation of labor, monitoring progress of labor, helps identify high risk women, performs normal and assisted vaginal deliveries, repair episiotomies and perineal tears independently. She is adept in handling emergencies like acute abdominal pain in preganany, 1st trimester bleeding, antepartum hemorrhage, severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, liases with nursing staff, lab, other services and consultants in emergency situations.
