I Dr Srinivas Deshmukh am working as a Consultant Neurologist at Deccan Hospital Somjiguda and at Mahavir Hospital Masab Tank. I offer services for all common Neurological disorders including Epilepsy, Stroke, Headache, Parkinson Disease, Neuromuscular disorders, Chronic back pain and Neck pain and various other neurological pain syndromes
I booked an appointment through Practo for Dr. Srinivas Deshmukh at 11:00 AM on 09 June 2026 for a 92-year-old patient.
Based on the appointment confirmation shown on Practo, we travelled approximately 26 km to reach the hospital. However, upon arrival, the hospital staff informed us that the doctor's OP consultations begin only at 2:30 PM, and that no patients are seen before that time.
This means the appointment slot displayed and confirmed on Practo was incorrect. To make matters worse, the hospital staff informed us that there was no bed or suitable place available for the elderly patient to wait until 2:30 PM.
It is extremely distressing and unacceptable for a 92-year-old patient to be made to undertake a long journey and then wait several hours because of incorrect information displayed on the Practo platform. Such scheduling inaccuracies can cause significant hardship, especially for senior citizens and medically vulnerable patients.
Kindly make the necessary changes on the website for such incidents not to reoccur.
The patient had a good experience with the doctor, mentioning that everything was clearly explained. They rated the visit 4 out of 5 and said they would recommend the doctor to others. The clinic experience was also described as okay.
I do not recommend Dr. Srinivas Deshmukh because he was not available and the appointment was confirmed despite that.
** *** ** * **** ********* heard a lot about him and have seen a few people benefit from his diagnosis and treatment.
But he is extremely unprofessional and does not care about nor value other people's time and the problem they may be facing waiting for me for several hours.
At Mahavir Hospital we were personally asked to come and register for an appointment. Does this even make any sense? But I did it anyway.
We were asked to be at the hospital by 6 PM because, despite getting an appointment, it was first come first serve. So I reached the hospital with my mom but he did not turn up until 7:30 PM 2-3 patients forced the nurse to call him and after calling he arrived at the hospital at 08:00 PM!
This seems to be his regular habit, as was informed by other patients.
When the 1st patient got it, my mom's number was 5, we waited till 9 PM and he was still busy with the first patient. There were more to go until my turn
and other patients were complaining he always doe that and one lady about 70 yer old informed he, last time she visited her turn came at 12:30 AM!!!!
That is so unprofessional! so make your older patient wait for so long...so I did not want to put up with this and walked away at 09:10 PM!
Make sure you have a full day at your disposal when you want to consult him, **** *** ******** ** ****** ***** ** ************* *** ***** medicines are extremely expensive!
The doctor explained everything clearly and addressed all doubts. The clinic experience was good, and the overall consultation was satisfactory. I would definitely recommend Dr. Srinivas Deshmukh.
*** * **** *** ********** ** the doctor did not consider the appointment and made me wait.
The doctor explained everything clearly and my overall experience was okay. There were no issues during the visit.
Mahavir hospital OPD is somewhat better than Govt. hospitals. But I went for unbiased advise from a Nurologist , without advising unnecessary expensive evaluations in the very first visit. I have taken my mother aged 70+ to him for seizure, possibly due to low blood sugar . Doctor is patient & attentive to the symptoms & nature of effects. Advised an EEG & some repeat blood tests for her to evaluate basic level brain damage conditions. Found results somewhat ok for her age, (no expensive CT / MRI etc were prescribed.) Reviewed after 3 months and now only therapeutic medication is being continued indefinetely. I feel the doctor treats conservatively and patients also need to expect remedies gradually but without incurring unnecessary expensive evaluations, and Doctor goes step by step. But he prescribes specific brands and combination of medicines which are not easily available even in big medical stores.
The doctor was good and gave helpful advice. However, I had an issue with the timing as I had to wait several hours for the appointment. Overall, I would rate the experience four out of five.
** ** **** **** ****** **** lot of patience and experience. Takes good time for each patient so that he can listen to all issues and situation thats why takes limited patients anywhere he practices. So the wait time may be more in some situations but very well worthy. Suggests Tests only based on condition and if required.
Im still under treatment. Hopefully i will get better soon.
Thank you.
