I asked the receptionist about the doctor's consulting fee; she replied, it depends on case to case.
After the doctor's consultation I was given the medicine and an offer: either pay
Rs. 1000 X 6 months = Rs. 6000
Or
Rs. 4000 as one payment for 6 months
The doctor's fee was presented to me as a fait accompli which came to me as a great surprise. All vendors of goods or services have an obligation to declare the price / fee.
I am currently searching for a relevant government department to complain to.
